American Horror Story: Freak Show star, Ben Woolf, lies in critical condition after being hit by a moving vehicle in Hollywood on Thursday night.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Woolf was crossing the street when he was struck in the head by an SUV's side-view mirror. After being interviewed by authorities, the driver was not cited as Woolf had been jaywalking.
Standing at 4'4", Woolf was diagnosed with pituitary dwarfism at a young age. He also went through chemotherapy treatments which caused bone shrinkage.
Woolf captured the hearts of fans as the sweet and innocent Meep the Geek in season four of FX's [American Horror Story](series:206668): Freak Show. Though his time on this season was short, Meep was the favorite of many and fans were devastated by his character's fate.
His work on this past season of AHS was not the first for the actor. He also appeared for a few episodes on the first season, American Horror Story: Murder House, back in 2011, playing the demonic Infantata.
Despite his terrifying make up in Murder House, any interviews with the actor show that he's clearly a strong man with a deeply kind soul. In a cast interview, Woolf has stated that when not on set he works as a pre-school teacher.
After being hit, Woolf was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was moved to intensive care. His condition is currently listed at critical, according to TMZ who first reported the accident.
