Heroes are ordinary people who make themselves extraordinary

Good day to you all! I've been debating whether or not to write a post for a while now and it looks like I've finally made up my mind. I am a big fan of DC, but when it comes to the debate of Marvel vs DC, I think both make great movies, shows, comics, etc. Anyways, enough about me! That's not why you're here. You're here to get a full update on BvS. Let's get started:

Heroes & Villains

Here we have who I consider to be the most iconic superhero in all history. Superman. A lot of people have said that Man of Steel was a disappointment. Personally, I disagree. I loved the movie, I loved Henry Cavill's portrayal of the character and I think Zack Snyder's vision for Batman v Superman, along with Justice League Parts 1 & 2 will be extraordinary. However, I will admit that this version of Superman has some much needed character development that I hope will happen in BvS. I can't wait to see more of Henry Cavill!

And now my personal favorite superhero... Batman! This great character is being played by Ben Affleck. I think Ben Affleck is the perfect choice! Not only is he a great director, but he is a great actor; one quality I think he will prove to all in his portrayal of Batman. This casting choice has faced a lot of criticism, but I think he'll do a good job. When I think of Bruce Wayne, Ben Affleck is exactly who I picture. I'm also a big fan of the new batsuit.

One word: PERFECT!!! I am a huge fan of Gal Gadot being cast as Wonder Woman. Honestly, I had never heard of her before she was announced to be this movie's Wonder Woman, but I'm sure I'll never forget her. She, like Ben Affleck, is receiving criticism for being chosen. I guess we'll have to wait and see how she does, but by the way the picture above portrays her, I think she'll be a true amazonian princess. Just as a side point, I don't think that skirt could get any shorter without making the movie R.

It seems as if every actor in this movie is facing criticism, because people are also nervous about whether or not Jesse Eisenberg will do Lex Luthor justice. I have to admit that I am one of those people, but here's to hoping I'm wrong. The photo above is fan made, but it is what I hope Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor will look like.

And here's the picture that everyone has been going crazy about. A lot of people considered Aquaman to be a joke, but Jason Momoa has proved with this picture that Aquaman belongs on the Justice League just as much as the others. He'll probably just have a cameo, but I hope it will be enough to show us just how awesome this new take on Aquaman will be. I, for sure, am looking forward to the seven be united.

I was surprised when I heard Cyborg was going to be in BvS. I was also surprised when I heard that Ray Fisher was going to play him; mostly because I have never heard of Ray Fisher. Anyways, I have full faith in Zack Snyder and if he agrees with this casting choice, than so do I.

Batman & Superman's Other Known Associates

There are sooooo many characters in this movie; too many to count! Not that I'm complaining. We have the wonderful Amy Adams playing Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne playing Perry White, Diane Lane playing Martha Kent, Christina Wren playing Carrie Farris, and Harry Lennix playing General Swanwick. Those are all actors who are reprising their roles from Man of Steel, but we have some newcomers to the world of superheroes. These include: Jeremy Irons as Bruce Wayne's butler Alfred Pennyworth, Jena Malone, and Scoot McNairy. The characters these last two actors are going to play are still unknown, but that brings me to my next subject.

Rumors & Speculation

These are my favorite. The movie is still so far away and yet people are already so pumped for it, including me. Anyways, let's get started. Jena Malone is rumored to be playing either Kahina or Carrie Kelley. Since this movie is based mostly off of The Dark Knight Returns, I'm guessing it will be the latter.

There have been rumors flying about who Scoot McNairy is going to play for a while now. Some have said he is going to be Metallo, others said Jimmy Olsen. He was also rumored to play the Flash but Ezra Miller has already taken that role. Scoot said in an interview that it's 100% a character he's never played. Sounds mysterious! I'm hoping for Metallo, but we'll have to wait to find out.

This next rumor is one that I hope comes true. DOOMSDAY!!! One of my favorite villains. Supposedly, Lex Luthor will be using General Zod’s corpse to find out Superman’s weakness. During his examination, while prodding and poking, he accidentally triggers the Doomsday genome and that enables Zod’s corpse to re-animate and transform into the killing machine that caused Kal-El his death.

A final rumor that I just recently heard of involves Christina Wren's character. She is playing Carrie Farris and there is a character named Carol Farris who’s the Green Lantern’s girlfriend. Add in Dan Amboyer who was just announced to be playing a drone pilot in the movie and some are speculating that we may see Green Lantern sooner than expected.

None of us know if any of these are true or if we'll just have to wait and find out when the movie is released, but it's still fun to dream.

The Batmobile

Some people want a Lamborghini, others want a Ferrari. I'm a simple man. All I want is this:

I think this is the best Batmobile I've ever seen, and I haven't even seen it in action yet.

Everyone, along with me, is begging for the first trailer of this movie to come out. I think Zack Snyder was about to release the trailer, but decided against it when he realized he was having too much fun watching everyone suffer. There is a solution though. I have watched almost every fan trailer made for BvS and they have helped ease the pain a little. By far, this is the best one I've ever seen, and if you are in need of a BvS trailer soon, watch this. Hopefully it will help.

Who Will Win

This is one of the biggest debates in comic book history. Batman or Superman, who would win? Personally, I vote for Batman. Yes, I say that partly because I like him more than Superman, but also because he's smarter and has beat Superman before. Just watch Batman: The Dark Knight Returns. So, that's my opinion, but what about you guys?

Who do you think would win, Batman or Superman?

There is so much info on this movie, I'm sure I missed something so sorry if I did, but I hope you enjoyed this refresher on Batman v Superman.
