Just less than 24 hours to the 87th annual Academy Awards/Oscars. And than I thought that I would share my thoughts about all the categories and who I think should win a Oscar.
P.S. The picture is not the one who I think should win.
Writing -- Original Screenplay
Nominated: Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), Boyhood, Foxcatcher, The Grand Budapest Hotel and Nightcrawler.
All of these movies are great, but the movie that I think deserves this Oscar is Foxcatcher.
Writing - Adapted Screenplay
Nominated: American Sniper, The Imitation Game, Inherent Vice, The Theory of Everything and Whiplash.
The Movie that I think deserves this Oscar is probably The Imitation Game or The Theory of Everything. They have both great screenplay and I couldn't decide between them.
Nominated: Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Dawn of the Planets of the Apes, Guardians of the Galaxy, Interstellar and X-Men: Days of Future Past.
I think all of these movies is great and it so hard to decide who is going to bring home the Oscar but I think Dawn of the Planets of the Apes or Guardians of the Galaxy would win this because of their use of motion capture.
Nominated: American Sniper, Birdman or ( The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), Interstellar, Unbroken and Whiplash.
This is not a hard category, I think Interstellar should win this Oscar. Because all the music in the movie where on the right place at the right time.
Nominated: American Sniper, Birdman or ( The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, Interstellar and Unbroken.
All of these movies have great sound editing in them, but there are two that stand out a little extra and they are The Hobbit and Interstellar, the sound in the movies have that little extra that makes the movie more exciting to watch.
Short Film -- Live Action
Nominated: Aya, Boogaloo and Graham, Butter Lamp (La Lampe au Beurre de Yak), Parvaneh and The Phone Call.
I haven't seen any of these movies so I can't give you the winner of this category. (sorry...)
Short Film -- Animated
Nominated: The Bigger Picture, The Dam Keeper, Feast, Me and My Moulton, A Single Life.
I think The Bigger Picture will win, but honestly I hate this short film so much that I love it. The plot is amazing.
Nominated: The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Imitation Game, Interstellar, Into the Woods and Mr. Turner.
I think The Grand Budapest Hotel will win, all those old fashion furniture and I love it.
Music -- Original Song
Nominated: "Everything Is Awesome" from The LEGO Movie, "Glory" from Selma, "Grateful" from Beyond the Lights, "I'm Not Gonna Miss You" from Glen Campbell...I'll Be Me and "Lost Stars" from Begin Again.
This is not a easy choice but I think "Glory" or "Everything Is Awesome" is going to bring it home tomorrow.
Music -- Original Score
Nominated: The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Imitation Game, Interstellar, Mr. Turner, The Theory of Everything.
I think it is between The Grand Budapest Hotel and The Theory of Everything because they both has many surprises during the movie.
Makeup and Hairstyling
Nominated: Foxcatcher, The Grand Budapest Hotel and Guardians of the Galaxy.
This is not an easy category, they all have awesome makeup and hairstyling but I think Guardians of the Galaxy will win this. Because both Drax and Gamora is handprinted and isn't made by motion capture and the details is just amazing.
Foreign Language Film
Nominated: Ida, Leviathan, Tangerines, Timbuktu, Wild Tales.
I haven't seen any of these movies, but what I have heard is that Wild Tales will win.
Nominated: American Sniper, Boyhood, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Imitation Game, Whiplash.
I think Boyhood is going to bring a Oscar home.
Documentary Short Subject
Nominated: Crisis Hotline: Veterans Press 1, Joanna, Our Curse, The Reaper (La Parka) and White Earth.
I haven't seen any of these movies so I can't give my opinion on this category.
Nominated: CitizenFour, Finding Vivian Maier, Last Days in Vietnam, The Salt of the Earth, Virunga.
I haven't seen any of these documentaries :(
Nominated: Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), Boyhood, Foxcatcher, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Imitation Game.
Boyhood will win this without a doubt, nothing more to talk about.
Nominated: The Grand Budapest Hotel, Inherent Vice, Into the Woods, Maleficent, Mr. Turner.
I think The Grand Budapest Hotel will win in this category. The costumes in this movie is so great I would wear them to school.
Nominated: Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), The Grand Budapest Hotel, Ida, Mr. Turner, Unbroken.
Birdman will probably win this. I haven't study it so much but Birman was something extra.
Animated Feature Film
Nominated: Big Hero 6, The Boxtrolls, How to Train Your Dragon 2, Song of the Sea, The Tale of the Princess Kaguya.
How to Train Your Dragon 2 without no doubt. The animation was so great I was jumping up and down of my chair.
Actress -- in a Supporting Role
Nominated: Patricia Arquette (Boyhood), Laura Dern (Wild), Keira Knightley (The Imitation Game), Emma Stone (Birdman) and Meryl Streep (Into the Woods).
This is a tie for me, it is between Patricia Arquette from Boyhood and Emma Stone from Birdman. They are both great actors and they did great in the movies.
Actor -- in a Supporting Role
Nominated: Robert Duvall (The Judge), Ethan Hawke (Boyhood), Edward Norton (Birdman), Mark Ruffalo (Foxcatcher) and J.K. Simmons (Whiplash).
This is also a tie, it stands between Robert Duvall from The Judge and J.K. Simmons from Whiplash. They did their best movies for a long time I think.
Actress -- in a Leading Role
Nominated: Marion Cotillard (Two Days, One Night), Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything), Julianne Moore (Still Alice), Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl) and Reese Witherspoon (Wild).
It is only one winner here and she is the beloved Felicity Jones for The Theory of Everything. She did an amazing work with her role and I want to see more of her in the future.
Actor -- in a Leading Role
Nominated: Steve Carell (Foxcatcher), Bradley Cooper (American Sniper), Benedict Cumberbatch (The Imitation Game), Michael Keaton (Birdman), Eddie Remayne (The Theory of Everything).
I think Benedict Cumberbatch from The Imitation Game is going to take this home. His is the guy who has impress me the most this year and I really hope he wins.
Nominated: American Sniper, Birdman or ( The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), Boyhood, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Imitation Game, Selma, The Theory of Everything and Whiplash.
I think that either The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Imitation Game or The Theory of Everything will win. They are all great movies and they all deserves to win.
