The amazingly kind team here at gave me a free ticket to go check out all the coolness happening at the Walker Stalker Con in my home city of Chicago.

If you are a fan of [The Walking Dead](series:201193), sci-fi or horror then the Walker Stalker Con is the place to be! I'll be honest, this was my first convention of any kind so I wasn't sure what to expect.

The Walking Dead Experience

It was so much fun to be around some fellow nerds just enjoying what they love. They had numerous panels that consisted of stars from The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, and even Lost.

Being in the 5th season of The Walking Dead it was nice to take a stroll down memory lane remembering some stuff from the early seasons. We all remember the RV that Dale would always be fixing, right?

I snapped a couple photos of actors Jose Pablo Cantillo (way right) who played Caesar Martinez on Seasons 3 and 4 of The Walking Dead, as well as Travis Love in the middle, who played Shumpert. Both these guys were The Governor's top men at Woodbury.

At one point Jose pretended to golf, reminding us all of that shocking moment during Season 4 when The Governor knocked his character "Martinez" with a golf club off of an RV and shoved him into a walker-pit.

The best part about this was that these actors were just having fun with all of the fans, which is what Con's should be about!

Cool Stuff Around The Con

Some other cool stuff going on during the convention included them actually giving people tattoos right smack-dab in the middle of the convention. What better way to remember the weekend?

I was very tempted to get the tattoo I'd been planning on getting!

Having never gone to a convention, I've always just thought about the cosplayers and the panels going on. One thing I never thought about was all the tremendously talented artwork you could find. Art ranged from posters to masks to limited time paintings.

Here are just a couple of snapshots of some art work I was tempted to buy:

Avengers, Game of Thrones, Firefly you name it!

This is one the things I loved about the convention and why I plan on going to more. There are tons of dreamers, creative minds, and just people who love these stories and characters. It's like one big happy family.

For those who have been watching The Walking Dead for the entire 5 seasons, we may just be used to all the amazing special effects, makeup and props that go into making this show so great. So, it was amazing to see up close what that all could look like.

If there are any fans of the television show Face/Off, they also made an appearance on one of the panels for Walker Stalker.

Well, I would hate to bombard this article with photographs and just go on about how cool Walker Stalker Con is, so I'm going to do an entirely separate article about my experience with one of the panels!

If you're at all interested, Walker Stalker Con is coming to a lot of major cities, like San Francisco, Dallas, Boston, Atlanta, and more! I wish every one of my favorite television shows had their own convention like this so they would make their way up here to Chicago more often!

Thanks again to Andrew Marco and the Moviepilot team for giving me this opportunity! All these pictures are just the tip of the iceberg from my experience at this convention.
