So you all probably know by now that i'm just not a fan of remade horror films. Which is why i'm going to discuss another failed remake, that I think most people would agree with.

Nightmare on Elm Street.

A classic! The villain, Freddy Krueger, is scary not only because of his burnt skin and knives for hands, but because he attacks in a person's most vulnerable state- during their sleep. Which leaves the character with two choices: not sleep, or die- and neither of those choices are ideal.

So when the remake came out in 2010, I was just as excited as any other Nightmare fan probably was, but then I actually went and watched it.

I'm not going to go into detail about every scene in the movie, and tell you exactly why I did not enjoy them, because honestly there was only one major problem- Freddy Krueger.

Now I will enlighten you with a photograph showing exactly why his character was my biggest issue.

I just....no.
I just....no.

Okay, I know people are going to say that this is probably a dumb reason to dislike the film, but I don't care. Because this is a HUGE problem. 1984 Freddy looked crazy and just downright scary, but then 2010 Freddy just looks plain weird. You can't disagree with me on that, I mean just look at the before and after!

But besides that, the movie did keep the original plot (they would be crazy not to) and Freddy had a couple of cheesy lines, like he had in the old movies. Then they threw a handful of famous actors in there and called it a movie. But i'm not going to go out and say I would recommend it to other people, because I wouldn't. I think the only character I truly liked was Connie Britton, because...well she's Connie Britton. And Rooney Mara wasn't all bad either, she was a good choice for Nancy.

If you haven't seen the 2010 remake, here's a short clip giving a little preview of both Nancy and Freddy...and from here on out, it's up to you whether or not you will give the film a shot.
