Hideo Kojima is being remarkably tactical with regards to unveiling the release date for [Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain](tag:2683985) on Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. However, we are getting a rather steady flow of information originating from the man himself and Konami with regards to the bizarre features we'll be able to engage with in [Metal Gear Solid](movie:593264) 5.
We're aware that Big Boss will have to hire mercenaries that speak foreign languages in order to interrogate foreign captives. Big Boss would have previously possessed the ability to speak plenty of languages, but it seems that the shrapnel in his head has really messed with his mind.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain - The Affect of Blood
Seeing as Kojima has felt rather intimidated by the likes of Rockstar's enormous and impressive open-world in GTA V, it seems that he's determined to fill MGS5 with as many intricate details as humanly possible. We may even be getting the opportunity to play as Big Boss' wolf companion! Can you imagine how insanely cool that'll be?!
But now we have some more insane details from Kojima concerning blood in Metal gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. As we're aware, this looks like its going to be one of the most violent additions to the Metal Gear Solid universe. Though probably won't beat Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. A lot of bodies cut in half. But now that Big Boss can be soaked in blood in MGS5, whether it be his own or his enemies, he can now wash it off!
Yep, apparently if you want Big Boss to not look like he does in the cover image, you'll have to make him take a shower when he gets back to Mother Base. What an insane idea! I can seriously see this world being covered with content. Personally, I just want the iPod back so I can listen to all those great songs during my missions.
But how exactly will this affect gameplay? I wonder if Snake will actually comment on his appearance during missions if he's particularly soaked? Could it affect his accuracy or anything like that? Who knows?!
So what do you think Metal Gear fans? Is this just a useless gimmick that Kojima has thrown into the game? Or can you see this blood affecting gameplay? In any case, I'm delighted to here how much time and detail Kojima is pumping into Phantom Pain! Game of the Year? We'll have to wait and see!
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will release in 2015 on the PS4 , XBOX One , XBOX 360, PS3 and PC.
