Honestly, the announcements and details being revealed in anticipation of Starz's brand new horror series Ash vs. Evil Dead just get better and better.
As we know, the 10-episode outing will be based on Sam Raimi's Evil Dead film franchise, with the focus once again being on Ash's battles against the Deadites.
It was reported late last year that franchise legend Bruce Campbell will reprise his role as 'Ash,' and last week we learned that two up-and-coming young actors, Ray Santiago and Dana DeLorenzo, are also set to join the cast.
But this week we've had some of the most exciting news yet.
According to latest reports, star of the hit horror series Sleepy Hollow, Jill Marie Jones, has made the switch to Evil Dead territory and in doing so has revealed a number of new plot details!
Is Ash on the run from the law?
Apparently Jill Marie Jones, who played Cynthia Irving in Sleepy Hollow, will play the role of a disgraced Michigan State Trooper who believes that Ash is responsible for the death of her partner. Whether he did it or not, it's highly likely that this means that Ash is on the run from the police.
The news follows a recent exciting announcement by Dread Central that the pilot episode will be directed by none other than Sam Raimi himself.

This series is going to be so, so cool - everything seems to be coming together nicely. I haven't looked forward to a TV series this much in, well, ever!
Starz will begin airing Ash vs. Evil Dead's ten half-hour long episodes later this year.
