Sources close to the planned Indiana Jones reboot claim director Steven Spielberg is interested in helming the film, should the script come to his satisfaction.

Spielberg, who directed the first four Indiana Jones movies, with Harrison Ford in the role of the swashbuckling archaeologist, apparently wants Jurassic World actor Chris Pratt to take up the role of Indy for the reboot currently in development over at Disney. This makes sense given that the director also hand-picked Pratt to feature as the lead star of Jurassic World, the first new film in the popular franchise in 14 years.

Reps for Mr. Spielberg claim however it is far too early to determine exactly what will happen given that there isn't even a script yet. However, the project is starting to move forward now so, perhaps with the right script, Steven Spielberg will once again be able to capture the classic feel of the popular adventure franchise once again.

We'll be sure to update all when more information becomes available.
