The DUFF is based on a 2011 teen book by Kody Keplinger. Following the story of Bianca Piper, she finds out the meaning of this four-letter word, DUFF a.k.a "Designated Ugly Fat Friend". Guided by misfortune, Bianca is terrorized by the bustling social media world. And if things weren't worse enough.. She takes it on her friends and school to make it right, not without some help on the way.

It almost sounds a bit like Mean Girls (2014), starting Lindsay Lohan. Both stories of fitting in at school and doing it their way. They're completely different stories but totally relatable. It's the fact that in school, people talk and there is no stopping any of it. It's a mix of not worrying what people are saying and staying true to yourself. Bianca and Cady both play characters that stand up for who they are. It's not always about what people say, take it from Bianca Piper or Cady Heron!

The DUFF was a hilarious teen rom-com that plays on some similarities of Mean Girls, in a different fashion. This film has 20th century humor, even your parents will laugh! If you watch this film, beware of accidentally quoting the film in your conversations the next couple weeks. You may think it's just about being the DUFF but this movie is a whole lot more than that. It's more of a cute, lighthearted, comical love story and you'll find yourself relating to Bianca and then relating all the characters to the one's in Mean Girls. Wait.. Does that mean Lindsay Lohan was the DUFF?
