The upcoming"Snow White & The Huntsman" sequel, simply titled "The Huntsman" just added two incredible actresses into the mix.
Academy Award nominee Jessica Chastain (Zero Dark Thirty) and Golden Globe nominee Emily Blunt (Into The Woods) just got added to the cast. The two actresses will be joining returning cast members from the first film, Chris Hemsworth (Avengers: Age Of Ultron) and Charlize Theron (A Million Ways To Die In The West). The film is set to show how Chris Hemsworth's Huntsman character first met the evil Queen Ravenna played by Charlize Theron. Details of Chastain's part are unknown. Emily Blunt is set to take on a villainous role in the film.
Jessica Chastain has quickly become my favorite actress working today, her extraordinary work in "Zero Dark Thirty" which should have won her The Oscar really put her on my radar and she's been impressing me ever since. Emily Blunt has also become one of my favorites as well, she's a talented comedic actress but really proved herself in 2014's "Edge Of Tomorrow"
The film is set to be directed by Cedric Nicolas-Troyan, who is primarily a visual effects supervisor, he worked on the first film. He is also set to direct the upcoming "Highlander" reboot. Cedric Nicolas-Troyan earned himself an Oscar nomination for his work on the first film, which despite its poor script and underwhelming performances, has great visuals.
"The Huntsman" is set to hit theaters on April 22, 2016.
Are you excited for Jessica Chastain and Emily Blunt to join next years "The Huntsman"?
