The countdown to the Age of Ultron has begun and Robert Downey Jr is teasing us with promise of a “big announcement”. Easily one of the most anticipated movies of the year is this summer’s Avengers: Age of Ultron and with just a little over 2 months until the sequel arrives in theaters, the hype machine is slamming into overdrive. Just yesterday, we were treated to a brand new poster that featured the entire team front and center along with new additions Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver and a silhouetted Vision. In addition to looking cool, it also confirmed the addition of Hayley Atwell as “Peggy Carter”, Idris Elba as “Heimdall”, Stellan Skarsgard as “Erik Selvig” and Anthony Mackie reprising his role as “Sam Wilson” aka “Falcon”. In the poster, Captain America is seen taking a more dominant position, but in the German version of the poster, Iron Man is taking the lead prompting some to suggest it’s a nod to next year’s Captain America: Civil War where we’ll see the two heroes going head-to- head.

Whichever the case we love it and it’s getting us even more pumped for the film, but that’s not all! Iron Man himself, Robert Downey Jr. took to Facebook and Twitter to reveal yet another poster, this time with Iron Man all by his lonesome, sans a few of baddie Ultron’s minions. Along with the poster, RDJ teased a big announcement would be coming in 8 days, on Thursday, March 5th. As of now, we have absolutely no idea what the big announcement will be, but if your comments are any indication, a lot of you are hoping it will be some kind of Spider-Man announcement. Perhaps a confirmation that he’ll appear in next year’s Civil War or maybe even a cameo in Avengers 2? Or better yet, maybe we’ll find out which actor will take on the role of the new Spider-Man or if it will be “Peter Parker” or “Miles Morales”?

Several recent rumors have suggested that the new Spider-Man that will be introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe will not be Peter Parker after all, though we’ve not heard anything official from Marvel or Sony Pictures. If you ask me, if Tony Stark is going to tease a big announcement, most likely it will involve him and not some other hero, but we’ll have to wait and see. For now though, what do you hope the big announcement will be and what do you think of the new posters? Head down to the comments.
