What am I talking about, EVERY weekend is a Netflix weekend, am I right or am I right? Be that as it may, starting tomorrow I'll be taking my hibernation a little more seriously than usual. Don't worry I'll be safe, I've already done my grocery shopping and have supplied myself with enough sugar and salty snacks to survive the zombie apocalypse, should that also happen to begin over the course of the weekend. So what makes this weekend extra special for me, and for Netflix fans in general? I'm so glad you asked.

Frank Underwood is BACK in business: HOC Season 3

Guess who's back.. back again
Guess who's back.. back again

Tomorrow is a day many of us, or perhaps just myself, have been looking forward to for what seems like forever. Friday, February 27 marks the return of Frank and Claire Underwood in the season 3 premiere of Netflix original series, House of Cards. The third season will be released tomorrow in it's entirety, in the same fashion as the first two seasons. As I'm sure you remember, the second season ended with Vice President Underwood being sworn in, assuming the position of commander in chief. Since then the HOC fan community (or again, perhaps just me) have been speculating on the kind of influence Frank will have as president. However, just as intriguing as Frank and Claire's personal agenda, I'm probably more interested in the agenda of the writers for the show. I am curious to see what kinds of tones will be developed, and which political plot lines will unfold in the new season. I'm sure we'll have a lot to discuss after the weekend, and I just can't wait.

Be sure to tune the world out tomorrow and tune in to HOC. If you have a prior engagement or have to work tomorrow , cancel. If you have to work, call in sick. If you try to call in sick and your boss just isn't going for it? Quit.

If you haven't seen the official trailer already, get you some.

I need to get ready for Gaga

As I'm sure you've already heard, Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, better known as Lady Gaga, will be joining the cast of American Horror Story for the fifth instalment to the series, AHS Hotel. To be honest I've been neglecting AHS a bit, and I'm ashamed to say I still have a few episodes to go until I finish the second season - it's terrible, I know. I've been meaning to catch up on AHS because so far I have really enjoyed the series. Even though we'll have to wait until October, this his bit of casting news has given me motivation to catch up and get my theories in order before I make my reservation for season 5 - Hotel.

Ooh lala..
Ooh lala..

Lady Gaga set keyboards and RT fingers everywhere on fire yesterday when she made the announcement via her person Twitter account. And while we don't have any hard details about the looming fifth season, aside from the 'hotel' theme, I think it's safe to say we all have fair reason to get excited. Though I'm still a bit behind, I do recognise the fact that AHS producers take a certain pride in the characters they portray and develop. And what bigger character is there in Hollywood than miss Gaga? I'm hoping this will turn out to be a good casting choice, and my gut is telling me that it will. What do you guys think?

Titles LEAVING Netflix starting March 1

The final reason I'll be renting my soul to Netflix for the weekend is so I can watch some of the films that will no longer be available, starting next month. to Not all titles will be cast out at once, but beginning March 1st a handful of notable series films will no longer be available on Netflix. I'll have to say goodbye to some of my personal favorites like Lords of Dogtown, Seven, Robin Hood: Men in Tights and Adventure Time. They're even getting rid of Flubber!!

I know Chris, I know..
I know Chris, I know..

But it's not all bad. You know the old adage, "out with the old, in with the new." Well, it's true. Also beginning March 1st, a good number of NEW great series and films will be welcomed to the Netflix family. If you want to check out the complete list of titles set to leave and arrive on Netflix starting next month you can get the full scoop here.

So there it is you guys, the three reasons why I will be completely out of game beginning tomorrow. What are you guys are looking forward to seeing on Netflix? Are there any films or series you'll be sad, or glad to see go? Let me know in the comments!! Now, I'd love to stick around and chat but.. you see, I've got this.. this thing. Have a great weekend everyone, cheers!

What will you be watching this weekend?
