While most people talk about the over saturated comic book movies coming to the big screen (especially the crappy oscars which seemed like it had an anti superhero movie campaign) I can't help but notice that notice they are starting to adapt the cartoons of my early childhood.
While as a child of the 80's I always wanted my favourite cartoons like Transformers, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and my favourite out of the bunch Thundercats, I can't help but get worried they don't mess it up (I am gonna get to the main culprit of my worry)
Now yes I did love it and the nostalgia was bring me back as a kid watching Optimus Prime and Megatron duke it out now as a live action movie, little did I know this was the start of crap storm that would have my younger self giving a middle finger to Michael Bay.
Okay I do realise that the first Transformers was good storyline was up and down but a good watch this was the beginning of one of worst franchises in hollywood.
This sequel was terrible but after seeing the first movie I was excited to see it only to see a random person who looked back at me and said "what was that crap" which I said we still pay to see though, but still I forgave them hoping the next one would get better.
Yeah I know if the title of movie wasn't bad enough (new apes take this lesson and drop the planet in the title) it was even more crap than the second which I didn't think was possible but there you go.
This sequel was so bad it made me question my life and apologize to anyone I have ever offended, yes I do realise I'm the idiot that watched but I want the time it took from me back and they suckered me in with dinobots smh.
This wasn't too bad was expecting worse not bad of movie but not good watchable though.
This lead me to the source of the problem
I can't really question him enough even to the online debate on which director is worse him or M. Night Shyamalan. I can't but think he has a vendetta against 80's classics but seriously I still would take him over Shyamalan any day. And it's not like he hasn't done good films like The Rock, Armageddon, Bad Boys 1&2 so I know he can direct if he puts some effort into.
So with rumours circulating that
That they planning to make live action jump to theatres to compete with the superhero franchises. I plead with them get the right people behind it I don't want to see them ruin them and oh yeah keep Michael Bay well away from them and definitely keep M.Night Shyamalan so far away that if he looks at it he should be buried at sea like how Megatron was suppose to be in the first Transformers.
