Mortal Kombat X is getting even more brutal. The old school brutalities are back! Netherrealm today announced that they are bring back the limb snapping finishers from the past!
Mortal Kombat X is 'NetherRealm Studios’ next highly anticipated installment in its legendary, critically acclaimed fighting game franchise that propels the iconic franchise into a new generation. Mortal Kombat X is scheduled for release April 14th 2015 for the PlayStation4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
These brutal finishing moves were first Introduced back in 1995 to give Ultimate [Mortal Kombat](movie:38705) 3 more bang for its buck. Mortal kombat fans of old will reminisce of fights gone by that often culminated in many different extremely gory fatalities. These brutalities certainly provided an alternative to the traditional MK finishing moves.
These epic take downs are back and will be completely unique to their character. Each character is rumored to have over 20 brutal finish moves, that's a whopping triple figured amount of limb cracking action to get through! Check out the video below - The brutality kicks in around 17:00.
To access these moves this time around, the player will of course have to hit those specific combo sequences but also exhibit certain behaviors within the round, for example finishing a round with a Judo throw, blocking a rival finish move or delivering a certain amount of head shots in a round.
