[Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain](tag:2683985) continues to allude its fans in the release date department. Hideo Kojima has been rather tactical (excuse the pun) with regards to his announcement of the internal date. Perhaps this is due to the fact that so many games as of late have seen countless release date delays. Development of a triple A title takes a long time, and Kojima seems content to slowly release more and more information on the upcoming instalment.
Or perhaps he doesn't want to disappoint his fans. Announcing a release date and then pushing it back hurts us all. Its happened with the likes of Bloodborne (seriously can't wait), The Witcher 3 and the GTA V's PC edition already this year. Obviously Kojima doesn't want to see his name on that list, but could we see Metal Gear Solid 5 get its release date at GDC 2015?
Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain Release Date At GDC 2015
While recent events and apparent issues within Kojima Productions led players to speculate that MGS5 and its release date may be further away then we'd thought, GDC 2015 has us hopeful. For it was a previous Game Developers Conference that Hideo Kojima unveiled that this upcoming game was indeed The Phantom Pain. Could we see another surprise in store this year?
We're not entirely sure of course, but the moment we hear anything about MGSV at GDC, I'll be sure to report on it as calmly as possible. Seriously, this and Bloodborne are all that I need this year. Well...a bit of [Batman: Arkham Knight](tag:2683936) never hurt anyone either.
While I've grown rather cautious in terms of release dates for upcoming games, Hideo Kojima will assuredly deliver. After all, with all of the pressure he's claimed GTA V has placed upon MGS5, I'm sure he'd delight in his beloved franchise at least besting it in terms of delivering on its scheduled release date.
So what do you think fans? Are you impatiently awaiting a release date, or have you been able to keep your anticipation at bay? Could GDC hold any Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain surprises in store?
