Finally, the sequel we've been waiting for!

Trine, the game series where your friends "accidentally" get you killed (yeah, don't you think for a second that I forgot) in this optional co-op, or single player puzzle/platformer. The game series where you stop everything you're meant to be doing just to take several screenshots because the game is just that pretty.

Frozenbyte, the same developers who provided us with the previous two Trine games, have just announced Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power! It's certainly kept up visually and aurally with its predecessors. The gameplay mostly looks the same, but it might have some different camera angles. There seems to be segments where we're behind the character, seeing what they see in front of them, instead of the usual, constant side view. In the end, I think that if you enjoyed the previous Trine games, you'll like this one just as much.

Frozenbyte said on their website that the game will be released on PC first, and then they'll expand to consoles later on. Which consoles those might be, I'm not sure. However, they released Trine 2 on quite a few platforms, so I'd imagine we can at least expect it to be available for PS4, and Wii U. There isn't a specific date yet, but it will be released sometime this year.

Missed playing the first two in the series? You can buy every game made by Frozenbyte for $5.24 USD vs. the usual price of $34.99 USD on Steam. The sale ends on March 14, so act soon! Click here to look at the bundle.
