Inspired by my love of comic books and hatred for this present winter nightmare, I present our only hope to conquer the evil beast of Snowmageddon! Even in cardboard form, nothing stops Superman (...except for maybe Batman...because he's BATMAN!)
The snowstorms in Boston acted as a catalyst to create a shovel powerful enough to defeat mounds of snow! I was reading a Justice League graphic novel and watching the news about Boston's nightmare when the idea hit me to make the most powerful shovel possible. Nothing is more powerful than Superman!
The shovel was made purely out of 4 sheets of layered cardboard, overlapped photocopied images formed into a 5 ft long Superman image and construction glue. I created a special waterproof varnish to coat the entire shovel (and yes, cardboard can be waterproofed)!
The Superman Shovel can hold upwards of 10 pounds of snow and can break up thin ice without being damaged. It's like the spirit of Superman helps keep this together regardless of the challenge!
I hope you guys like this concept and you'd be amazed what cardboard can do with a little imagination and experimentation! Thanks for reading and "come on spring!!"
