I'm sure many of you are excited to see the MTV Movie Awards this year. I know I am! (Though I don't miss any awards show, really.) The nominees have been officially announced and voting has opened on the MTV website. Here's the list of nominees.

  • Miles Teller in Whiplash, in which...well, that may be a spoiler as it's towards the end of the film, so I'll leave it out - but if you've seen it, or have looked at the voting section for this on the MTV website, then you know what it is
  • Rosario Dawson & Anders Holm in Top Five, in which they get "saucy" with each other...something I can't unsee
  • Seth Rogen & Rose Byrne in Neighbors, in which they get "personal in a way [nobody] was expecting"

Best Villain:

  • J.K. Simmons in Whiplash
  • Jillian Bell in 22 Jump Street
  • Meryl Streep in Into the Woods
