I think it's fair to say that in 2015, gender disparity shouldn't be a thing and really isn't really very cool - in fact, I'd argue that it's not cool at all. Therefore, when I found out an alternate-reality Batman story had a female Joker, I had to check it out.

This isn't a completely new or foreign concept. In the Flashpoint Event miniseries, where The Joker was Bruce Wayne's mother Martha (who had survived the assassination attempt but was driven mad by losing her son), we saw that gender barriers could be broken for the role.

This time, popular webseries Grayson: Year One has done the same thing. The series follows the adventures of Batman's original sidekick, Dick Grayson.

This episode comes after the 2013 pilot, and follows Jason Todd (not Dick). Todd finds himself booted from his mother's house and looking for meaning.

Check it out, it's definitely worth the watch:

The production quality is very good

It's almost as if Jason is like "wait. what?" What an entrance!

Not only is her make-up on point, but the acting too!

I'm down.

Go to the YouTube page and strap in. I want to see some more of this!
