Zachary Quinto Heads On Over To Hannibal For A Season 3 Role.
The American Horror Story star will appear in, at least, one episode of Season 3 as a patient of Dr. Bedelia Du Maurier, played by new series regular Gillian Anderson.
No further details are known about his character as of yet.
This guest spot reunites Quinto with Heroes writer and producer and now Hannibal boss, Bryan Fuller.
Quinto will head to Vancouver to film Hannibal in between filming Oliver Stone’s Snowden, which began shooting just this week, where he plays The Guardian journalist Glenn Greenwald, and filming on the third installment of Star Trek, where he will reprise his role as Spock.
Aside from his work on Heroes, Star Trek, and American Horror Story, Quinto is currently starring in The Slap, based on the Australian mini series, and can next be seen in Hitman: Agent 47 in August this year.
Also starring on Hannibal in Season 3 are Tony award winner Nina Arianda, Richard Armitage (The Hobbit), Rutina Wesley (True Blood) and Joe Anderson (The River).
Hannibal, based on characters and story from the popular Thomas Harris books 'Red Dragon' and 'Silence Of The Lambs,' explores the early relationship between renowned psychiatrist, Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) and his patient, Will Graham (Hugh Dancy), a young FBI criminal profiler and hunter of serial killers.
Hannibal will return to NBC this summer.
