In further sad news for the Star Trek family, famed producer, Harve Bennett, has sadly passed a way at the age of 84.
Largely seen as the creative genius behind the franchises holy trilogy, Bennett was a producer (and writer) behind Paramount’s Star Trek movies in the 1980s, with his credits including classic films Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan, The Search for Spock, The Voyage Home and The Final Frontier.
After co-creating Mod Squad, Bennett had a hand in creating and producing some of the most popular sci-fi series on TV including the iconic The Six Million Dollar Man. According to Bennett in a 2008 archive interview, he even voiced the opening credits! All together now... We can rebuild him... We have the technology...
The sad news comes a mere week after the passing of Star Trek legend, and globally loved, Leonard Nimoy. Adding to further heartache for fans of the series and franchise.
Harve Bennett, he lived long and prospered. In memorial of a creative genius and a man who provided such joy to millions of people.
