Part of what makes [The Walking Dead](series:201193) such an amazing show, isn't just the awesome story, the bad-ass characters or the horrifying walkers, it's also the crazy attention to detail.
By now, most fans of the show know exactly who Greg Nicotero is, but for those in the dark, Nicotero is a makeup special effects guru, executive producer and director on The Walking Dead. You know all those amazingly cool looking walkers you see week after week? They're all thanks to Greg Nicotero and his team. But throughout the duration of the show Greg Nicotero has gone above and beyond to include little zombie easter eggs in the form of 'tribute zombies.'
A tribute zombie is a walker in the show which is made up to look like another famous zombie or character from other famous horror movies, including ones that have inspired Nicotero or that he has worked on in the past. It's a nice sort of tip of the hat, if you will.
Take a look at this list of most (if not all) of the tribute zombies throughout the history or The Walking Dead (and a huge thank you to this article over on Dread Central for helping me out with this article):
