If you're like me, you're relieved the February doldrums are finally behind us and the movies you pay to see are on the horizon.
One of our most anticipated around here is "The Divergent Series: Insurgent," the second installment in one of the most unique storylines movies have to offer these days.
And what makes Insurgent so special? Well for starters, you've got a cast of the brightest young stars in Hollywood sparring with some of the most amazing leading ladies in cinema. Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Kate Winslet, Naomi Watts and more are on display in this special behind-the-scenes video exclusive to you lucky Pilots.
There's plenty revealed here, with brand new interviews from much of the cast and crew. But what stands out most?
This movie could be as visually stunning as anything you'll see this year. Seriously.
As if their dope virtual reality tour didn't already prove it, the Divergent series is keenly aware of the world they're trying to build. Or perhaps I should say, the world they're tearing down. If "Divergent" set the rules and built an intricate universe - both marketing-wise and cinematically - that we could see ourselves in, "Insurgent" threatens to shatter that world into pieces. Either way, that world is bonkers, a "feast" for the eyes if I can borrow from the lovely Ms. Watts.
And to get set for the March 20th release of Insurgent, you'll want to consider revisiting the original (and highly underrated) "Divergent" this weekend. From March 13 - 15, iTunes, Comcast Xfinity, Amazon Instant Video, Vudu, Playstation Network, MGo and CinemaNow will be offering the flick for as low as $3.99.
The Divergent team will also be hosting an awesome #DivergentWatchParty this Friday on Twitter - 5pm PST / 8pm EST. You can watch the movie live along with the official Insurgent Twitter, which will be live tweeting, reacting to all the #feels, asking trivia questions, and offering up a chance to win movie tickets and swag.
Dear Insurgent - please pick me for a free ticket! And some swag, please?
