Nowadays, fiction is one of the most influential forces in the world we live in. Fiction is filled to the brim with amazing characters!!!! We've got the Avengers, Darth Vader, Katniss Everdeen, and SO many more, but there are even more characters that should be on that list of greats. The reason that they aren't is because they're all either underestimated, (people don't realize that this certain superhero is as powerful as he is) or underrated (people don't realize just how important or AWESOME this certain Time Lord is). I'm here to tell why these selected characters should be among the best heroes of all!!!!!!!!

Well, let's get this show on the road y'all!!!!!!! First up, we have....

1. Boromir!!!!

One does not simply judge a book by its cover!
One does not simply judge a book by its cover!

From J.R.R. Tolkien's fantasy epic books, the Lord of the Rings turned to the blockbuster trilogy that gave us all the chills, I bring you Boromir, son of Denethor II, the steward of Gondor!!!

Now, many people remember Boromir as the one guy in one movie of the Lord of the Rings trilogy that turned evil and then died. Well, that's not even close to what happened! Boromir is one of my favorite characters actually and I'm gonna tell y'all why.

Boromir first goes on the adventure with the Fellowship to hopefully recover the One Ring, to use as a weapon to help save his land from destruction. See? He's a hero, although he's got the wrong idea. The Ring can only be used by Sauron, especially not by mortal men. He has a hero's heart and is set only on saving his people, but his goal to acquire the Ring, lead to his unfortunate demise.

Don't do it! Don't do it! Ugh...you did it!
Don't do it! Don't do it! Ugh...you did it!

Now, Boromir was told that he wouldn't be able to use the Ring, that only Sauron could wield its power, but he ignored those warnings and tried to take it anyways, or did he? He can't help being human, maybe he did heed the warnings of others, but being mortal, the Ring could take control of him very easily. What I'm saying is, is that he literally could NOT help himself when he tried stealing the Ring from Frodo.

After he tried and failed taking the magical piece of jewelry, he realized how messed up his mind was and tried to redeem himself. He defended Merry and Pippin until his final, weak breath. He even took three arrows to the chest!!!!!

HE DIED A HERO!!!!!
HE DIED A HERO!!!!!

And that's just in the movie!!!!! In the book, he took even MORE!!!!!!!! Boromir died a hero! And, in my personal opinion, was a hero all along!

The reason I really like Boromir, I think, is because he just really is an excellent representation of us. You and me. He's only human, he makes mistakes, and the Ring represents all the hardships and obstacles of life. He may have been overcome by those hardships at one point, but he eventually pushed through and then he had overcome those obstacles. It's a redemption story, and I think it's beautiful!!! :)

2. Qui-Gon Jinn!!!!!!

Boy howdy is the Force is with this one!!!!!
Boy howdy is the Force is with this one!!!!!

Everyone loves Star Wars!!! It's the greatest Sci Fi franchise in my opinion, followed closely by Doctor Who and Star Trek. And from the most hated and despised film of the six, the Phantom Menace (it's one of my favorites actually, it's just that the majority of the fans hate it), I present to you Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn!!!! Booyah!!!!

Qui-Gon is more than just that one guy who finds Anakin, sets him on the path of the Jedi, and then dies. He's WAAAAAY more than that!!!!!!! My example of Qui-Gon is one that is more underestimated, but he is a little underrated as well.

He was the master/mentor/trainer of the amazing Jedi known as Obi Wan Kenobi. He finds Anakin as a child, discovers that he's the Chosen One (the Jedi who was prophesied to rid the galaxy of the Sith), frees him from slavery, and brought him before the Jedi Council to be trained. He's pretty important as an exposition character, explaining a little more of Anakin's past.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!"--Obi Wan Kenobi
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!"--Obi Wan Kenobi

He was sadly killed by Darth Maul before he could train Anakin and in his last moments told Obi Wan to train the boy.

The reason he's so underrated is because, in reality, he's THE wisest Jedi of them all!!!!! We know that he could've had a high position on the Council, so that already makes him at least one of the best! Don't believe me? I'll prove it!

The obvious reason is because he sensed Anakin was the Chosen One, even when Yoda thought the idea was ridiculous! DID YOU HEAR (or read) WHAT I SAID?!?!?!?! Yoda, the High Master!!!!!! He was completely blind to it!!!! Qui-Gon walks in the room for the first time and says, "Hey! I think I smell a Chosen One around here!"

Also, when he dies, he rediscovers the lost power of Force Ghosting, and, while being unable to take a visual form, could communicate to Yoda through meditation. I still don't really understand how the Jedi could've forgotten how to not die!!! That'd be something I'd remember!!!! Through the meditation he teaches Yoda the secrets of Force Ghosting (He TAUGHT.... YODA!!!!!!!) which then leads to Yoda teaching Obi-Wan, which then leads to Obi-Wan becoming a ghost in Star Wars IV, which then leads to Obi-Wan being able to appear to Luke whenever, which then leads to him still teaching Luke somewhat, which then leads to Luke sort of defeating the bed guys and saving the day!!!!!!!! *GASP*.....words.

So, what it boils down to is that if it wasn't for him, the good guys might not have won. And he is like 100 times wiser than Yoda!!! He saw Anakin was the Chosen One. Yoda didn't. He rediscovered the Force Ghosting ability. Yoda had forgotten about it. He was teaching freaking Yoda how to do things!!!!!! He. Is. Wise. He's wise, but not very powerful though. He was a Master and he got killed by an apprentice. Not good for the ego. But his mind is the most powerful one in the galaxy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Qui-Gon dies......*crying eyes out in dark corner*

3. Hawkeye!!!!!!!!

He walked out the door and became an Avenger. ;)
He walked out the door and became an Avenger. ;)

The Avengers. Probably THE most successful superhero film of all time!!!! From all of it's wonderful characters, I give you Hawkeye, the Avenging Archer!!!!

Despite it being the most successful superhero film of all time, the Avengers disappointed me when it came to Hawkeye, one of my favorite MARVEL characters of all time!!!! He is severally underrated and underestimated!!!!! They had him mind-controlled for most of the movie and too busy fighting aliens at the end for him to say much of anything!!!

I'm not flying, I'm falling....with style!!!!!!!!
I'm not flying, I'm falling....with style!!!!!!!!

But Hawkeye is really one of the best, funniest, and toughest members of the Avengers! Yes, I said toughest! He has no powers, so he has to be super tough to be on the same level as the rest of his team. Still don't think so? Check out this link to a short video of Hawkeye (and I guess Black Widow) going toe to toe against the Hulk (probably the strongest Avenger ever)!!!!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rf67nBe_SLo

Yup, completely underestimated! Obviously he can't BEAT the Hulk, but he can definitely hold his own against the green beast!!!! And not many people can!!!!!!!

He's also so underrated because Hawkeye is just such a fun, sarcastic character who likes to make puns!!!! In the two movies he's been in, MARVEL hasn't really showed a good representation of the Hawkeye we all know and love! I already talked about his performance in the Avengers, and his role in Thor was almost nonexistent!!!! Wait, he was in Thor? Yeah, I keep forgetting that too. Hopefully, with the sequel, Avengers: Age of Ultron, they won't mind control him again and we'll be able to enjoy the real Hawkeye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
