343 Industries' have been great at giving us weekly updates on the progress of Halo 5 on the XBOX One . The upcoming title seems like it'll be dominating this year's Christmas period, with Naughty Dog's Uncharted 4 pushed to Spring, 2016. With a wildly successful Beta test behind them and the Halo: Master Chief Collection finally fixed (seriously matchmaking is a dream for me right now), we can all sit back and relax as we await the NextGen Master Chief.

We may not have received much news this week on Halo 5 from 343, but an Xbox One trailer was launched for the title's that we can expect to enjoy on it for this year. Evolve and Rise of the Tomb Raider are present, but what we really care about is the sight of Halo 5: Guardians, and Agent Locke!

Halo 5 Guardians News Update

Be sure to check out the trailer for the Xbox One below! Most of 343 Industries' Halo 5 that we get a chance to see is a section of the E3 Beta trailer, but the beginning shows us what is most likely a cinematic from the Xbox One exclusive. And my, oh my, is it beautiful. But of course, we expect Halo 5's cinematics to be stunning, especially after how great Halo 4 looked.

We get a glimpse of the back of Agent Locke as the doors of a Pelican open before him. All the trailer really does is help get you even more excited for what could be the game of the year!!

So with that little update aside, it's time to move onto something slightly less Halo 5 related! Cortana may have left a void in the life of Master Chief, but apparently she'll be closer than ever before for all of us. Yep, Microsoft has announced that Cortana will be coming to iOS and Android smartphones!

Halo's Cortana on iOS & Android Smartphones

Microsoft is planning to bring its Cortana digital assistant to iOS and Android as a standalone app. She'll be available on phones and tablets later this year, and she's also planned to make an appearance on Windows 10!

"This kind of technology, which can read and understand email, will play a central role in the next roll out of Cortana, which we are working on now for the fall time frame." - Microsoft’s Eric Horvitz, managing director of Microsoft Research

Microsoft is currently developing a more advanced version of Cortana, codenamed project Einstein, that pulls data from artificial intelligence. While there’s not many details on Einstein from Reuters’ report, it appears to be an effort to improve the awareness of Cortana and its ability to automate even more tasks.

So, looks like we'll be spending our lives talking with Cortana on a daily basis, as she analyses our decisions with her wonderful sassy nature. So what do you think Halo fans? Will you be downloading the Cortana app and using her on Windows 10? It's free after all!

Halo 5: Guardians is still without its official release date for the Xbox One, but I'm sure we'll get loads of Halo 5 news at E3 2015! I seriously can't wait. Let us know what you're looking forward to the most when Master Chief arrives on NextGen!
