Forty Minutes of pure unadulterated Battlefield action! Guns, drugs and big ass guns! Get ready for Battlefield Hardline with this 40 mins gameplay video!

With just one week to go, Polygon have released a full unedited playthrough of the opening forty minutes of gameplay from EA's latest Battlefield title. From the opening sequence we are all thinking, good cop, bad cop we are just not sure but what is clear is that this fully interactive cinematic intro is pretty epic.

This single player campaign features many similar elements from past Battlefield installments, taking place in numerous locations across the world such as Los Angeles, California and its surrounding deserts. The campaign is split into sections or missions, each inspired by a multitude of crime shows on television, with each ending on a cliffhanger to lead into the next mission.

We step into the shoes of rough and ready detective, Nick Mendoza, a young cop who is travelling across the country to bring his former partners to justice after they became corrupt.

Not featured in the above video is any of the multiplayer action however the multiplayer element is consistent with all other Battlefield games. Battlefield Hardline features a similar ranking system that is progressed through based on experience gained only through gameplay.

Hardline will also features ribbons, familiar to all Battlefield players, these are awarded by completing specific actions. Earning a certain ribbon a specific number of times awards players a Medal. Service Stars are awarded after earning enough experience progression for that object.
