Usually I take the moral high ground and write about the best of TV, today however, will be opposite day. This is a list of what I think to be the worst on TV these days. Feel free to argue with me. As a note, these are in no particular order.

1. Musketeers

To be honest, I was super excited about this show when it was announced. The Musketeers was one of the few books I read willingly as a kid. Trust me, that was a super rare occurrence. However, the show does not, by any means, do the book justice. The characters lack the spark and spice the original D'Artagnan, Athos, Aramis, and Porthos. The casting seems so off for this show. In fact the only Musketeers I've ever really loved were the ones in Man in the Iron Mask.

2. Marco Polo

The only thing I can say about this show is that I like that Netflix tried to branch out. They tried to do something different. I applaud them for that. However, I think it would have been better off if they had gone in the Da Vinci's Demons direction, where it's a bit more fun adventures and tongue in cheek. The series was too slow for my taste. However, I've heard the lead, Lorenzo Richelm, learned English for this series so congrats to him!

3. Atlantis

When they first started advertising this show I was really thrilled. The show took over Merlin's time slot and is made by the same people. I had high hopes, but it just fell short. A few episodes in and it already felt too repetitive. The characters, other than Hercules, felt flat. The series hero, Jason, fells like a super model trying to play an ancient hero. Needless to say, it was no Merlin.

4. The Vampire Diaries

I avoided this show for years! Mainly because of the mania I had involved myself in with Twilight. However, this year I cracked, I figured it's been on for six seasons for a reason right? Wrong. I had enough of love triangles in Twilight, I don't need to see it for six seasons. If you watch for the eye candy, do it by all means, otherwise change the channel.

5. Arrow

I know a lot of people love Arrow, but I just don't get it. Nothing stands out to me in the show. I watched an entire two seasons and can't tell you anything other than Helena Bertinelli / The Huntress seems cool, but that's about it. The only other person that seems to peak out a bit is Felicity Smoak, however they don't give her enough screen time to make me stick around.

6. Girls

Lena Dunham needs to move on, find another career, and learn to watch what she says. Besides her endless ridiculous comments and horrible statements in her book, her series is dreadful! Depicting 20 something white women as lazy and needy. Like we need more of that in society! *cough housewife shows* I would honestly slap someone if they acted the way she does on the show. I watch TV to be entertained, not horrified. It only adds to the idea that young people are privileged and spoiled. Needless to say Lena and I won't be friends. Like ever.

7. Revenge

The show that won't die, sadly. I watched the entire first season and to be honest, it wasn't bad. What was bad was that season two just felt like a repeat of season one. The constant are they, aren't they, evil of the Grayson's is tiring and boring. Who wants to watch the same thing over and over again? I think Revenge would have been better off as a mini-series.
