The original comic book of the Asterix protagonist, "Asterix and the Laurel Wreath" from 1972, has been sold for € 150.000 and the money was dedicated to families of victims who have suffered the terrorist attack on the French satirical newspaper organization 'Charlie Hebdo', said the auction house 'Christie's'.

The comic book artist, Albert Uderzo, wrote a dedication to the buyer whose identity hasn't been revealed. Uderzo has, two days after the terrorist attack which occurred on January 7, 2015 where 12 people were killed, made a sketch of Asterix with the slogan "I am Charlie, too".

"Asterix and Charlie Hebdo are totally unrelated. I wanted to express solidarity with my colleague artists who have paid for their ideas with their lives", said 88-year-old Uderzo.
