So, I was reading the new Howard The Duck #1 (which I really enjoyed by the way) and for some reason it got me thinking about the good old days when Marvel and DC were in a more eurphoric competition and were way more friendlier with each other it seemed. I loved all the collaborations the two companies did in the 90's. The Amalgam phase was a little strange in my opinion but, I thought it was very creative to mix two characters from both universes together. I want to see this happen again between the two companies. I want to see more interaction between the two companies. I know, I know some people may think this is detrimental to each universe but, this is part of the industry. As we all know many artists, creators, writers have worked or published for each company. The reason why I'm writing about this now is because it just seems like it's a huge divide between fans and companies and I find it to be ridiculous. Lately, I've seemed to drawn to those writers/artists that aren't exclusive and work with both companies.

I, Haven't checked out the new Hawkeye book yet ( I know shame on me) I'm a huge Jeff Lemire fan so I will get around to it but, he's a perfect example of what I'm talking about. Lemire I believe was primarily a DC/Vertigo writer/artist he did that awesome run on Green Arrow and now he switch from archer to archer which I think is so awesome. I just wanted to share some of my ideas of these particular comics that I think would be awesome with these writers or artists on them.

Humberto Ramos (Damian Wayne)

What I wouldn't give to see Humberto Ramos and Brian Michael Bendis on a Robin Solo book. Ramos could do any DC book in my opinion. I just think his work fits perfectly for Robin or Nightwing. he did some great work for DC in the 90's and I think it's definitely time to see him again on a DC comic. Bendis is great at story telling he has the perfect balance of Humor and youthfulness that a Robin book needs. He's done wonders for Marvel and the Ultimate Universe.

Chris Samnee (Kal-el)
Chris Samnee (Kal-el)

The team of Chris Samnee and Mark Waid would make a phenomenal contribution to Superman. The work they're doing on DareDevil is fantastic! With, Waid's intense and compassionate storytelling and Samnee's beautiful and classic artwork is the perfect formula to make a classic and amazing Superman book! I mean again These guys could work on any book for any company. I can't get enough of these two. Since Supes is such an Iconic and older character it is awesome to see him reinvented in different artists perspectives as well as writers and colorist etc.

Steve Mcniven (Clark kent)
Steve Mcniven (Clark kent)

I love Steve Mcniven he's one my favorites in the game along with Jerome Opeña just to name a couple more artists that I would love to see on a Superman book. I'm curious also what a Batman book would be like with McNiven on the interiors.

Brett Booth this guy has to get on a Spidey book or cover or something! I needed this to happen yesterday! His edgy, stylistic, youthful aesthetic has been an insanely fantastic contribution to the DCU. I know this guy could do wonderful things with Spider-man.

With, Brett Booth on the art and Dan Slott writing it I mean how can you go wrong on this Spidey collaboration. Slott is King when it comes to all things Spider-Man for a while now. I would love to see him possibly writing for Superman or Nightwing but, I think that's not an even trade to switch from Spidey to Nightwing but, I feel both characters are more compatible with each. I believe Slott would bring fun and captivating take on Nightwing.

Kenneth Rocafort Cyberforce vs Hunter-killer

Kenneth Rocafort is amazing just as simple as that! I can't get enough of this guy's work either. Marvel can we get this guy on an X-Men comic or an Avengers with Hickman writing it please and thank you.

Tony Daniel is a fantastic artist I always look forward to a book when I know he is on it. This guy as well as all the others can draw anything. Daniel has been in the industry a long time and I don't think I've ever seen him do Captain America. I believe he was on X-force for a little bit for Marvel. He, would be fantastic on Captain America with Geoff Johns writing it. I wonder what an Avengers book would be like with this team as well. I mean Geoff Johns is an incredible writer one of my favorites. You, definitely can't go wrong with this dynamic team can I get an Amen haha.
