Art styles are incredible things to analyze, and when one actually examines them one sees how a single idea can generate so much interest and inspiration by many other artists out in the field. Here we have impressive selection of art from deviantART by the large number of skilled artists who post online.

I'm actually in the process of watching Season 22, Episode 15...a relatively...disturbing one on the whole, with the eyes of Springfield's geezers popping out...

The Simpsons started as an idea that set them roasting on an open fire - sorry, I couldn't find it online though - and it became my own favorite cartoon and everyone's most beloved TV series, and after over twenty seasons on air it's still going strong! And up here in the title page we have work by Teodoro Gonzalez in his incredibly shaded comic book style. Check out the detailing! Sideshow Bob seems amazingly powerful and vicious as usual...Krusty's having fun though!

Lisa Simpson by Vlad

Pretty, pretty, pretty :)
Pretty, pretty, pretty :)

We also have a little bit of Simpson anime up here with this incredibly adorable portrait of family brainiac Lisa Simpson, although to be fair, this version gives her a line between her hair and head! Whew...I saw THAT episode recently! And artist Vlad has more to offer below!

Adult Bart and Lisa by Vlad

Siblings FTW
Siblings FTW

Ah, and this is a wonderful image of an exceptionally adult Bart and Lisa! It's nice to see that Vlad still imbued the characters with their prime character traits, although Lisa's good girl points seem to have become more of what we see in her adult incarnations on the show itself.

The Dark Side of the Simpsons

Aye Caramba, this is the dark side!
Aye Caramba, this is the dark side!

Now this is a MUCH darker avatar for our favorite family of little yellow buggers, and they are appropriately terrifying! Forget that angry ape-faced behemoth Homer or that heavily-muscled Marge! It's Bart who scares me here! He's like some...triangle-headed horror beyond imagining...he seems to have aged and so has his sister. Unconventional to be sure, but I do like Calvin's gritty work here!

Marge by Mirco Bartolovic

Blue hair never looked so cool!
Blue hair never looked so cool!

A rather sweeter picture of Marge by the incredible anime artist Mirco Bartolovic. It is however, a much more stylistically simple anime/manga than the one we saw above, but is still lovely with its bright colors and shades.

Bart and Lisa by Mirco Bartolovic

The same artist also brings us Bart and Lisa as tweens...adorable they are in their light orange and white shades. Not really the way they were originally conceived but it's so light and refreshing...

Gender-bent Simpsons by Vlad

Twisty twisty bends!
Twisty twisty bends!

And here's an afterthought by dear Vlad once more...gender-bent Simpsons! And look how cute bent Homer looks with that doughnut in her mouth and those big, button eyes! Bent Marge is a loving father who by the way, rocks that blue hair but I wouldn't wanna hear his voice on a good day...imagine that raspy tone in an octave or two lower and deeper...yeesh...and the kids...well...they look sweet and I really commend the artist for the slightly updated preexisting Matt Groening art style. And that's about it for now! Have a lovely day <3
