In what is sure to come as bad news for any fans of seeing Joe Manganiello's frighteningly impressive body on our TV screens, the ex-True Blood actor has reportedly dropped out of Fox's upcoming Scream Queens.

According to The Wrap, Manganiello's other commitments have made his staying with the series - set to debut next season - impossible, with a source suggesting that his publicity duties for Magic Mike XXL are the primary cause of his sudden burst of unavailability.

Other reports, though - as well as the sheer weight of rumor - suggest that Manganiello is, in actual fact, departing so that he can take on the part of Deathstroke in Warner Bros.' upcoming Suicide Squad.

Which, seeing as filming is very much gearing up to get going - as is Scream Queens' - seems a far more plausible explanation.

Could we, then, be set to see Manganiello in Suicide Squad? Only time will tell, but in the meantime, Oliver Hudson, better known as this guy from a bunch of things you've seen...

...will be taking on Manganiello's (as yet unidentified) role in Scream Queens.

No word yet, though, on whether Hudson will be frantically attempting to match Manganiello's frankly ridiculous form.

What do you think, though? Will Manganiello be a good fit for Deathstroke and Suicide Squad? Will Hudson be a good replacement on Scream Queens? What are you hoping to see happen in both of them?
