Suicide Squad is planning to bring forth The Joker, Harley Quinn, Amanda Waller, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and many others, but is there enough room for The Dark Knight?
Latino Review's Umberto Gonzalez revealed new details surrounding Batman's alleged role in the Suicide Squad. Gonzalez took to Instragram and posted the following:
According to sources, in the film Batman is some sort of big boogeyman that the government REALLY hates. Get this, prior to the events in #BatmanvSuperman, THE JOKER is the only one to really ever meet him or know him and that's why he's so important to Amanda Waller. They have footage of Batman in action which they watch. There is a bit of dialogue where they say Batman is the key to tracking down all "the supers." Very cool stuff.
While the details don't necessarily say that Batman will appear in the film, it does say that his existence will play a major factor in keeping The Joker around on Waller's radar. It's also very interesting that The Joker would be the only one to have actually meet Batman, which means producers will go the 'urban legend' route when handling Batman in the [DC](channel:932255) Cinematic Universe. Though, this does raise some serious questions as to whether or not other Batman villains, such as Two-Face, The Penguin, Catwoman, have ever came in contact with The Dark Knight.
As for Waller, it seems that the producers will handle her character much like she was handled in Cartoon Network's Justice League. Viewers can expect a very powerful presence from Viola Davis' Waller, since she will be responsible for not only keeping tabs on the meta-humans, but also for handling Task Force X.
