By now, I'm sure you've all heard the displeasing news that Uncharted 4 will no longer be a 2015 game. With its release date pushed to Spring 2016, Sony are missing out on their biggest release of the year and something has got to take its place. So far, the biggest exclusive releases that the PS4 will see this year is probably the likes of Bloodborne and [No Man's Sky](tag:2684052) .

However, these titles don't exactly have the blockbuster appeal of Nathan Drake. Therefore, I'm sure E3 will have to have a few surprises in store for PS4 owners. But what we're all dying to know, is whether they could be concealing the imminent release of God of War 4. Could we actually see the return of Kratos? Or would Kratos even be in GoW4?

Sony have been pretty great at unveiling some real surprises over the years, with last year shocking us with the survival of a remastered Grim Fandango (it's incredibly good by the way). But then it's been a while since we've seen an enormous game announced at E3 only to see it later that year (which was what it was originally supposed to be a platform for).

Besides, now a days it seems more and more titles are getting delayed rather than surprisingly close release dates. But then, early this year [God of War](movie:449823) 4 was actually claimed to be in development by Santa Monica's Creative Director Cory Barlog. But there's no way we could see God of War 4 this year...is there?

Could Kratos be in God of War 4?

The one thing that we're all speculating about is the presence of Kratos in GoW4. Is he really gone from the video gaming world? Granted though, the conclusion to God of War 3 has made us sceptical about whether Kratos is indeed gone. But if the series moved on without this intensely cool badass, would it really be the same anymore if his character was simply replaced?

God of War is famous for its great puzzles, exciting combat but above all its stellar graphics and amazing set pieces. God of War 3 was jaw dropping, and in fact, they all were at their time. God of War 2 is still seen as one of the best games of the PS2 era, and what a golden era that was!

So God of War 4 would surely have to step things up again when Santa Monica Studios get behind the wheel once more. But would you guys be happy to see a new title without the presence of the man that made it famous? I'm always up for change, but Kratos' fuming anger and total lack of remorse is actually essential to the tone of God of War. I mean, they seriously succeeded in making us feel like a god.

I for one would feel weird playing God of War 4 on the PS4 without the presence of the slaughtering man turned god. Would you settle for him featuring in it rather than playing as him on its release date? Let us know what you think about God of War 4 and Kratos in the comments!
