10. Terminator Genisys
Apart from the weird spelling, I honestly don’t think T5 looks that bad. They seem to be giving it the Star Trek treatment and creating an alternate timeline and I'm sort of into the plot. An old Arnie T-1000 is pretty sweet. One nitpick, I feel movies are giving Jai Courtney more credit than they should but it is just an opinion.
I was a big fan of this book series when I was young. I will admit that when I heard Jack Black was set to star in this movie, I was very sceptical. He just didn't feel right but with stills of the movie having been released online, my faith in Black’s performance is restored.
8. Hunger Games – Mockingjay Part 2
The epic young adult book series about an adolescent human being destined for greatness takes down an evil government with the finale being split into two parts is coming to an end. Which book series am I talking about? The Hunger Games of course. I didn't really like the first one especially with the shaky cam and dull tone, the second one was a big improvement and I did like the third one’s new found sense of humour. This should be good.
7. Jurassic World
I don’t think it’s false to say Chris Pratt makes everything good. Guardians Of The Galaxy is an awesome movie and having the star actor take on dinosaurs in this new Jurassic Park film sounds amazing. The [Jurassic World](movie:32752) trailers have shown a promising adventure of fun and devastating death!
Despicable Me is a great film, the sequel was also pretty good although I prefer Megamind, still waiting for that sequel. I would have preferred a Dr. Nefario spin-off but a Minions movie does sound like a no-brainer.
5. Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens
This isn't higher on the list because I admit to not being the biggest Star Wars fan. When I first heard this movie was coming out, I couldn't take it seriously. All the old withered actors returning to the big screen to take out some more stormtroopers just seemed ridiculous. And then they announced JJ Abrams will be directing. He made the Star Trek reboot awesome and therefore I have no doubts that he can pull off this new Star Wars film. The trailer was great and everything seems promising.
4. Ted 2
Ted was just such a funny movie. It felt like I was watching a live-action Family Guy episode. It's a shame Mila Kunis won't be back. The trailer gives off an interesting premise about living Teddy Bears having children for equality rights. I hope this is just as good as the first one.
3. Fantastic Four
When this was announced, the cast were released and we got some titbits of Doctor Doom, I didn't really know what to think. The actors seemed too young and it was almost like Toby Kebbell was playing a practical joke on us. But when that trailer came out, I was completely thrown off by the tone of the film. Sure it looks like a rip-off of Interstellar but this shows off a promising starter to a brand new super-hero franchise.
Perhaps I am looking forward to this movie more than I should. But when I think about it, this film should be amazing. This film has had a pre-production older than the Marvel Cinematic Universe itself, it’s clear that the studio didn't want to rush this film. While Edgar Wright’s leave did get me anxious, still [Ant-Man](movie:9048) looks like we’re going to get something very special.
1. Avengers Age Of Ultron
This had to be number one. As soon as I started this list, I knew this film would be on top. When I saw that first trailer I was nearly in tears. This looks like the Avengers film I always wanted. The more I think about it, the better it gets. Hulkbuster! I mean wow, just so cool. This movie needs to come soon, I can only wait for this inevitable masterpiece to come out for so long.
Tell me any films I missed, there’s definitely some. Ratchet and Clank, Spectre, Pixels and Inside Out had the potential to get on here but just couldn't make the cut. You can also tell me your own Top 10 since it will probably be very different to mine. Have a good day!
