Now, when someone goes and sees an early screening of a movie most people are eager to hear what their opinion about that movie is. If they liked it? Loved it? If it was complete horse shit.. Blah Blah.. Blah. For most people you cant just take their word on it, shut up Dave! No one cares what you thought of Macbeth! But late last night someone (a whole lot more important than you Dave!) went and saw a test screener of the highly anticipated horror movie Crimson Peak! Who was it? Well no other then the King of horror himself Stephen King!
Yes, the King of horror has opened up on one of the most anticipated horror (or any category) films of the year! So what did he have to say? Well to say the least his praise was through the roof! When you are a world renowned horror author and have a cult following (which consist of mostly all our parents) and you talk about an upcoming horror movie, people are going to listen! So what exactly did King say?
CRIMSON PEAK electrified me in the same way Sam Rami's EVIL DEAD electrified me when I saw it for the first time way back in the day.
Now, those are some amazingly high praise right there folks! That quote has sent a ripple through the horror-sphere. Not many horror movies can compare to The Evil Dead and i'm most certain this will not be as gory and lets say ground breaking, but that does not mean this movie will be short of anything down right terrifying! Don't Believe me? Just take this quote from King himself!
Was treated to a screening of Guillermo del Toro's new movie, CRIMSON PEAK, this weekend. Gorgeous and just fucking terrifying.
Now, if that doesn't get you excited for this movie than nothing will! [email protected]#king terrifying!! Now these are some of the first words we have heard about this upcoming del Toro picture. Crimson Peak tells the story of a author named Edith played by Mia Wasikowska who upon marrying a mysterious 19th century gentleman, Hiddleston’s Thomas moves into a dangerously creepy mansion! Thomas begins to show some unsuspected qualities, as does the rot-infested mansion, and Edith is forced to question her original perception of the once charming fellow. Now that is an old school sounding horror flick that has me eager to watch closely on the edge of my seat. The movie also starts Charlie Hunnam, and Jessica Chastain.
Still not sold on the movie? well no worries just check out this creepy trailer! Let us know if you are even more excited about this movie now, or if you don't believe a word from Stephen King (which I cant blame you, the man hates the shinning!!) Let us hear it in the comments below!
