The SHIELD Eagles take on the Slicing Talons in a new episode of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Cal assembles a team of superhumans to get his revenge on Coulson and expose SHIELD for its treatment of "gifted" humans.

While some of Cal's team were pretty cool, I do feel that some of them didn't get enough of the spotlight. The special effects on Angar with his sleeper scream were great and super freaky, it's clear that he is very dangerous. Other not so interesting ones like metal claws, very original and of course what superhero team could be without someone with super strength. I'm assuming they will be coming back next episode so that should fix up some issues.

May's ex-husband, Andrew comes to town as he becomes the psychiatrist of Skye to keep her powers in check. His presence brings up some things about the implications of Skye's powers and we see Skye as Quake in a new light. May and Andrew treat other normally while everyone else seems to be obsessed with them. It's quite funny.

The climax of the episode features Coulson's home town so that Cal makes things personal. They confront each other on the football field with Cal taking on very entertaining theatrics. May plays a dangerous card when he threatens Skye in front of Cal to get him to stop but he sees right through it.

Right before the action can begin, the Reader shows up and kidnaps Cal, spoiling all the fun. When Skye attempts to control her powers, she faints. It's revealed that Skye isn't stopping her powers but just pushing them into her own body causing internal ruptures. It doesn't look good for her.

In an interesting twist, Mac reveals to a captive Hunter that he is working for "the real S.H.I.E.L.D." This promises some very cool developments next episode. Meanwhile, Cal wakes up in the Inhuman dojo awaiting judgement for his exposure of the Inhuman world to the public. I wonder who's waiting for him.

This episode was an interesting one, it definitely isn't one of the best so far. Its main purpose is to build up to something much bigger happening later down the track. I really hope that Fitz and Simmons' relationship improves, they were my favourite characters back in season 1. One question, where the hell is Ward? I hope there are some good plans for him and Agent 33, he is one of the more interesting characters on the show, especially after being a doorknob for the majority of season 1.
