Gunslingers, nomadic warriors and vengeful Elder Gods are next to hit the Mortal Kombat X character rosta!
In a series of recent leaks by TestYourMight on gaming site Xbox360Achievements a selection of scrumptious screenshots of yet to be released playable characters for the upcoming Mortal Kombat X have been revealed.
These screenshots appeared to showcase three new playable characters. All are very well established fighters that hold exceedingly high Mortal Kombat pedigree. The screenshots seem to show Shinnok, Baraka and gunslinger Erron Black.
Shinnok is said to be the most evil of all the Mortal Kombat characters. Shinnok is said to be a fallen Elder God full of vengeful hatred. Shinnok relies on dark magic and ancient demonology rather than brute strength. Shinnok is actually the dark ruler of the Netherrealm which gives him almost limitless power.
Erron Black resembles a cowboy from the wild west, Black came to the outworld from the Earthrealm. Black is a ruthless mercenary that fought at the time of Kotal Kahn's rule. Black quickly became one of Kotal's fiercest warriors and his liaison with the Black Dragon.
The leaked image above shows what appears to be one of Blacks fatality moves. A point blank execution. Making graphic use of those shooters.
The final character to be revealed is Baraka. Baraka was introduced to Mortal Kombat back in 1993 as a warrior that also served in the Outworld. He is known to be a Tarkatan, a savage mutant warrior that is a fierce melee fighter. Tarkatans have long blades that protrude from their forearms. These are used to hack, slash and decapitate their foes.
Watch part of the opening sequence
NetherRealm are making one heck of a statement with Mortal Kombat X, they seem to be bringing all the greatest aspects from previous Mortal Kombat games and crashing them all together in one epic edition of fighting fury.
Mortal Kombat X will not be shy of a storyline either, NetherRealm have focused not only on the fighting but have proactively sourced a viable and highly entertaining storyline. Straight out of the 90's, Mortal Kombat X is cheesy one liner galore.
Fatalities are bigger and better!
Mortal Kombat X is getting even more brutal. The old school brutalities are back! Netherrealm are bringing back the limb snapping finishers from the past. These brutal finishing moves were first Introduced back in 1995 to give Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 more bang for its buck.
Mortal kombat fans of old will reminisce of fights gone by that often culminated in many different extremely gory fatalities. These brutalities certainly provided an alternative to the traditional MK finishing moves.
