The authorities have arrested Robert Jason Owens, a North Carolina man who has been charged with the murder of Cristie Schoen Codd, 38, and husband Joseph Codd, 45.

The couple were reported missing by family on Sunday, causing deputies to search their home where the couple's vehicles and pets were found. Cristie was a competitor on the eighth season of the reality TV show, Food Network Star.

Tragically, she was expecting her first child, being five months pregnant at the time she disappeared. The celebrity cook was known for her charming demeanor, enthusiastic attitude, and culinary prowess, bringing cheer to all who knew her.

Cristie also worked on several Hollywood movies, including the upcoming Terminator Genisys. Star of the film Arnold Schwarzenegger took to Twitter to convey his condolences:

Her husband, Joseph, was a Hollywood grip who had worked on the HBO series Carnivale.

The suspect has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and is currently in custody at the Buncombe County Detention Facility.
