The third film in the popular Insidious trilogy will be upon us soon! With the last two Insidious movies we've seen, the main story seemingly ends on a good note. However, they're releasing a third movie... which must mean more mysterious carnage will ensue! I have an incredible theory for [Insidious: Chapter 3](movie:1117428).
First, I should go over the main events of the first two films to provide some context to my theory, so read at your own caution!
Insidious: Chapter 1
In the first instalment of the Insidious film series, the story centers on a couple and their son. The son inexplicably enters a comatose state and becomes a vessel for ghosts in an astral dimension where all ghosts want to inhabit his body in order to live again.
And In Insidious: Chapter 2
The haunted Lambert family seeks to uncover a mysterious childhood secret that has left them dangerously connected to the spirit world.
This all leads me to the final instalment of the series...
My Theories for Insidious: Chapter 3
1.) More vicious entities
So, people have been saying the new Insidious movie will be the scariest yet, and so far, I will have to strongly agree. Chapter 3 will be a prequel, and that leads to my first theory: I think the apparitions and entities will be a lot more vicious in this one than in the previous films. Especially since this would be one of their first real attempts to get into our world from theirs (or at least it seems that way). Expect some insane interactions with some truly atrocious entities.
2.) The main protagonist in this movie might not make it to the end
Since this is a prequel, everyone is less experienced and that includes Elise. In the trailer, you can see her struggling more than she had previously done so in the first two films. This means that she just might not get to save the poor girl in time before the entities take her into 'The Further.'
3.) The red-faced demon from the first Insidious film just might be the main villain in this chapter
This being a prequel, it isn't hard to think that the demon from the first Insidious flick might be back around in this instalment to haunt the new protagonist. Maybe he'll appear the way he did before the events of the first Insidious? He does bare a slight resemblance to the mysterious character in the trailer, after all. Could this moment from the trailer be a hint at the return of the red-faced demon from the first Insidious?
