Legendary will soon be bringing another classic monster to the big screen in Kong: Skull Island. It will be a prequel story set to explain Kong's origins.
The highly anticipated flick begins filming this May on Kauai, Hawaii, with a projected release date of March 10th 2017.
Kauai has been a popular filming location in the past for such films as Jurassic Park and Godzilla. Locals are claiming the codename for Skull Island throughout filming on the island will be known as "Titan".
Kong: Skull Island is being penned by scribes Max Borenstein and John Gatins. Members of the cast currently include Michael Keaton (Birdman), J.K. Simmons (Spider-Man) and Tom Hiddleston (The Avengers).
