Good afternoon and welcome, beautiful people, to what is sure to be for some an upset; and for some a triumphant victory as I have finally, after some time now, been able to reach a parallel world very similar to our own. This "New Earth" shares almost everything with us in the same fashion. The people and their personalities are the same. Likewise, life and all that it entails is the same as well. Very minor switches and tweaks are what make this "New Earth" unique.

You'll notice as you read that actors are still actors, so in turn politicians are still politicians, rich folks are still rich, average joes are still average joes, and the poor are still poor in comparison to our own world. However, there do lie some innate differences between the two.

For us, (The Super-Hero loving Community), a SUBSTANTIAL difference is the casting of our heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and DC Cinematic Universe. Today I would like to reveal to you some of the actors and actresses that portray our beloved Avengers in this parallel reality. So without further ado, I will now list the alternate actor and actress choices for the Avengers in this recently discovered world that I am calling " Mundus Novus" (Which is latin for "New World").

Let Us Begin
Let Us Begin

Ok, now before I start I would like to clarify that I will only be revealing the actors/actresses portraying the core Avengers as well as Nick Fury. I will also be giving a defense for each choice made by "Mundus Novus" in order to maintain at the very least, a sense of respect for their choices.

The first and possibly most controversial actor choice I will reveal is that for the character of Iron Man.

Our choice is obviously the wonderful Robert Downey Jr. "Mundus Novus'" choice?

Jake Gyllenhaal

(Not a bad choice)
(Not a bad choice)

Mr. Gyllenhaal is an extremely well rounded actor. While he is only 34, he has been in several intense action flicks in our world that were widely well received by critics and audiences alike. Some of these include: End of Watch, Prisoners, Nightcrawler and who could forget Donnie Darko?

Now, aside from his talent in these movies, Gyllenhaal posses all of the skills necessary to portray the intelligent, sarcastic, narcissistic, playboy-like character of Tony Stark and has more than proven himself worthy of doing so.

Moving right along, I will now present to you "Mundus Novus'" choice for Hawkeye.

Christian Bale

(This dude is just amazing)
(This dude is just amazing)

Alright, I know what you are all thinking, "But he's Batman!!!" While he may be Batman to us, in this parallel reality he resides in the role of Hawkeye. To me, this works beautifully because Christian Bale so easily fits the "cool guy" character description that runs so deep with all of the mythology surrounding Hawkeye and his story.

Evidence of this that exists in our own universe resides through his work in movies like: The Dark Knight, The Prestige, American Psycho and more recently Exodus: Gods and Kings.

I will now proceed with the character of Black Widow. In our world, Black Widow is represented by none other than Scarlett Johansson. In the "New World" she is portrayed by...

Angelina Jolie

(She's gorgeous and kicks serious butt)
(She's gorgeous and kicks serious butt)

Now, this choice may seem cliche to some, but I think "Mundus Novus" hit the nail on the head with this one. Jolie is 39, gorgeous and has proved that she has the skills necessary to play the Russian spy known as Natasha Romanoff. She is excellent at rendering sinister yet seductive characters that can easily run with the boys. I have complete confidence in her ability to portray Romanoff and tag alongside Mr. Stark, Rogers, Banner, Barton and Thor. Oh, and Mr. Fury.

Some of her work in our world includes: Salt, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, The Tourist and Tomb Raider just to name a few.

Let us continue by examining the character of Thor; currently portrayed here by none other than Chris Hemsworth. "Mundus Novus'" pick for Thor?

Brad Pitt

(Need I even clarify?)
(Need I even clarify?)

This is one of those choices where it just seems to fit. Brad Pitt is outstanding in any film that he does. He is a relatively down to earth guy and would work well with this particular cast of Avengers. He might portray a more seasoned Thor, a Thor who is now king, but I think that in itself will add more depth to the character over all.

His work in movies like Troy in our universe also give him an edge as he already knows what it takes to portray a mythological character.

(I'd follow him to Jötunheimr...)

I know by now we all have to be wondering who is taking on Mark Ruffalo's role as Bruce Banner/ The Incredible Hulk. Wait no longer, "Mundus Novus'" choice for Hulk?

Brendan Hines

(Pretty awesome dude.)
(Pretty awesome dude.)

Many people reading this may not know this actor very well, for in our world this man is mostly saves his talent for television. However, this man also carries attributes that leads one to believe he has serious potential and has proved that he can play the "smart science type" while still being a tad bit submissive in order to keep his anger level down. Very similar to our beloved Bruce Banner. His looks also give him an edge in the department also, as he very much looks the part of Dr. Banner. In "Mundus Novus" he is a very well renown actor.

Hines is most notoriously known here for his work in episodes of Lie to Me and Suits.

(HINES SMASH!!!)
(HINES SMASH!!!)

Let us move forward with the Character of Steve Rogers, aka Captain America. Chris Evans is in this role currently for our Earth's MCU, but a different actor has taken the mantle in "Mundus Novus". Who you ask?

Matthew McConaughey

(Just look at that smile)
(Just look at that smile)

Mr. McConaughey is known in our world to be the quirky, funny, light-hearted character. He has been in various action flicks that have pushed his career forward even more and allowed him to develop more as an actor. Now, why this was "Mundus Novus'" choice? Much like Chris Evans, McConaughey is just an all-around good man. On and off screen. His ability to portray action characters in movies from our standpoint seems to be noble and true enough and his ability to put his heart and soul into whatever role he takes leaves me thinking he is more than capable.

Some of his filmography include: Interstellar, Dallas Buyers Club, The Lincoln Lawyer, Two for the Money, and Failure to Launch.

As this article comes to a close I want you to really imagine what this alternate MCU looks like. Get a feel for it. Embrace it. Picture it in your head and let your imagination run freely. I think that you will find yourself smiling. Even if it is only for a brief moment.

Now, Let us finish. Nick Fury. Who plays Sam Jackson's iconic role in "The New World"?

Liam Neeson

(He will find you)
(He will find you)

Now, this pick seems almost too easy. I half wonder why our world didn't make this pick from the get go! Liam Neeson is notorious for playing characters with immense emotional distraught, stress, positions of power, and totally kicks some serious butt while doing it. Neeson is "Mundus Novus'" choice for those reasons exactly.

Mr. Neeson stars in some of the greatest action films of this world's time. Such as: Schindler's List, Batman Begins, Run All Night, A Walk Amongst the Tombstones, and of course the Taken franchise.
