YOUNG PEREZ tells the love story of two kids, Victor Young Perez and Monette.

Boxing world champion in 1931, Victor shares a wealthy life of glory and passion with the actress Mireille Balin.

Monette, who has stayed in Tunis has sworn to wait till his return. She lives an imaginary life through a collection of front-page headlines of popular newspapers.

Unfortunately, Victor's career declines and war breaks out. Feeling humiliated, he refuses to go back to Tunisia.

Because he is Jewish, Victor is arrested by the French police in 1943 before he is deported to Auschwitz and killed during the Death Marches.

This project won special mention at the Carrefour de la Création in Annecy (MIFA) in 2012, grants (development and new technologies) from the CNC, from the Procirep/Angoa, and from the Rhone Alps and Poitou Charentes regions.

It has been selected by by Cartoon Movie (Lyon) en 2015, by the Stuttgart international animated film festival in 2014 in the category «work in progress», the Centre Georges Pompidou's animated features film special week in October 2013, by the Rendez-vous de la coproduction rhénane in Strasbourg in 2013, by Cartoon Movie (Lyon) en 2012, and by the Cinemed of Montpellier (development aid grant for feature films projects) in 2012.
