Internet Explorer hasn't exactly had the easiest of times in recent years, criticized from all angles for its clunky interface, outdated tech and slow speeds; the browser runt of the Firefox and Chrome dominant litter.

It's been a long time coming, but Microsoft marketing chief Chris Capossela has finally confirmed that the company will be axeing the Internet Explorer brand, to be replaced by 'Project Spartan'. After spending many years with this loyal old dog, I thought now would be a good time to look back at IE's tumultuous history...
