The second season of the critically-acclaimed Sundance TV, crime-drama The Red Road starts its second season on April 2nd.

The show stars Martin Henderson (Secrets and Lies-The original Australian version), Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones, Bullet to the Head) and Julianne Nicholson (Boardwalk Empire, Law & Order: Criminal Intent).

The show, according to its Wikipedia page, The Red Road revolves around a police officer struggling to keep his family together after a cover-up with his mentally ill wife. The drama tightens as the officer becomes involved with an outlaw who is also member of a local tribe of Native Americans.

If you are reading this, chances are you haven’t heard of the series, because Sundance TV doesn’t draw the ratings of other cable outlets.

I highly recommend this tightly wound, thrilling show. There is plenty of conflict and tension. The writing is very well-done. The cast is top notch.

You can check out the show’s first season on Netflix, I-tunes and Amazon.

You’ll be glad you did.
