"America, the beautiful."
So why not have a beautiful face running this country? Then again, I guess not all actors have beautiful faces.
But let's be honest. It takes more than a beautiful face to be commander-in-chief. That's why I've broken down the 6 best choices in Hollywood to take on the job.
6.) George Clooney
Thought this one would wind up higher on the list? Well THINK AGAIN! But still, an undeniable choice for our Top 6.
Gorgeous George is handsome, charming, diplomatic, and obviously knowledgable when it comes to the political climate. He's made serious efforts to stop the Civil War in the Sudan, and according to Time, his odds of actually running for President doubled when he married international human rights lawyer (and total babe) Amal Alamuddin.
But George is also a bit obvious of a choice. Let's have some more fun with our next one.
5.) Chris Evans
Chris Evans is about as American as a hot dog wrapped in bacon. And that's no reference to the above GIF.
It's much more about the image above. Allow me to state the obvious - THE DUDE IS CAPTAIN AMERICA!
He's also tall, handsome, and looks the part hard. Needs a few more years of seasoning, and maybe to save the world a couple more times with his Avenger buddies. Otherwise he might have topped this list.
4.) Emma Watson
Now I know what you're gonna say. "Emma Watson can't be President - she wasn't born in America!"
And to that, I reply with:
And in the case of the stunning and politically savvy Ms. Watson, that's exactly the case.
Emma famously spoke at the UN in 2014, and is an honored "UN Women Goodwill Ambassador" at just 24 years old! She's lightyears ahead of some of the most accomplished politicians at that same age, and she's also got that whole magic thing on her side.
Republicans??? AVADA KEDAVRA!!!
3.) Dennis Haysbert
I can hear the slogan now..."YOU'RE IN GOOD HANDS WITH HAYSBERT!"
Those of you who haven't watched the iconic action-packed "24," get on that. Haysbert plays the best President in U.S. history - David Palmer. He sacrifices politics for the greater good, and can always be counted on for a calm and reasonable demeanor, even in the face of chaos (which is, of course, nonstop in "24").
As President, Haysbert could bring that calming and determined mindset to the oval office, and would be as fit to see us through a crisis as anybody on this list.
No spoilers on his fate, but let's just say I hope President Haysbert has a longer run in office than President Palmer.
2.) Oprah Winfrey
Maybe 2016 isn't the year. But I'm saying 2020 is when we finally elect the amazing Oprah Winfrey President of the United States!
And just to remind you, Oprah is more than an iconic talk show host and media mogul. She also slayed as Ms. Annie Lee Cooper in the unforgettable "Selma," and thus more than qualifies for this list.
I'd vote for Oprah. Especially if she offers everyone in America a BRAND NEW CAR!!!
1.) Meryl Streep
Topping our list is arguably the greatest actor (male or female) on the planet, and someone I'd probably vote for before Hillary Clinton in 2016.
I mean, this woman is so amazing, President Obama gave her an award.
Hail to the chief! And tell me who I missed below!
