Anyone familiar with Pokemon knows that there are many different ways to evolve Pokemon, from evolving them by level, to evolutions by stone, to even things in your surroundings;
But then Generation 6 came along, and the very basis of Pokemon got turned upside-down, inside-out, and backwards. Junichi Masuda and his team of workers at GameFreak introduced the Pokemon community to Mega Evolution.
And they rocked it.
Mega Evolution absolutely revolutionized the idea of Pokemon for us all. But, as we prepare for Generation 7, whenever that may come, we must look forward to not only NEW Mega Pokemon, but maybe even a different and brand new form of evolution all-together.
A lot of [Pokémon](tag:2538552) fans, myself included, have stumbled across the app Pokemon Fusion in our app stores, and downloaded it just to see what it was all about. But that got me thinking... what if Pokemon Fusion is the next big thing for GameFreak to blow our minds with? I mean, we already have some forms of fusion in the Pokemon universe, ranging from Black and White Kyurem;
to Accelgor and Escavalier, who trade shells (or armor) when they evolve.
So, why not other Pokemon?
If GameFreak wants something HUGE, they would offer Poke-Fusion as our next evolutionary style in Generation 7. Fusion of Pokemon could offer GameFreak countless opporotunities to make their best franchise that much better. I mean, imagine fusing 2 or even 3 of your favorite Pokemon together?
The Pokemon Fusion app currently residing in the App store/Google Play store shows us what Pokemon from Generation 1, the original 151 Pokemon, would look like if they became fused together.
So what if we could fuse two powerful pokemon, like Mewtwo and Arceus? Or weaker pokemon, like Caterpie and Magikarp? How would you feel to combine the powers of your favorites? Could this maybe be the next step in the future for Pokemon? One small step for GameFreak, one giant leap for the Pokemon Community, am I right? Tell me what you think of my theory in the comments, and special thanks to my friend Gillyrb2007 for bringing this idea of fusion to my attention. I know this isn't much to go on, but maybe in the future I will delve deeper into this topic again!
