So I'm a nerd, have been since I was a kid watching Batman: The Animated Series, X-Men and Power Rangers and probably since then, I have been collecting things.
Comics, trading cards, VHS then to DVD and now BluRay, figures, statues - the whole shebang!
Now years later, my collections are so big that I now have TWO rooms to call mine, much to the amusement of family, friends and tradesmen that come through the house.
NOTE: Please excuse the dust!
To start off, my movie and TV show collection. My first ever DVD came when I got my first ever DVD player; Buffy: The Vampire Slayer - Season 1 was the beginning of what would become... a downward spiral? No, an obsession? Whatever it is, I'm still doing it.
Now here is my movie collection, in which I recently had to buy new shelves for. I haven't bothered to separate DVD from BluRay but it's all arranged alphabetically. OCD much!
But wait! You don't have any TV shows?
Why yes I do, let's venture into the other room.
Wait! That's just draws full of clothes!
You would be wrong... well for most people it's used for clothes.
For me, it's the beginning of my TV show collection.
But wait... there's more. Just turn to the right!
Then we have my comic collection. I only got back into comics about 4/5 years ago.
Now onto my ever-growing Funko collection and other figures, statues and stuff.
Yes! My OCD got the best of me and I have them organised into groups.
I work at JB Hi-Fi (Australia's version of Best Buy) and I was lucky enough to score myself two massive Transformers head cut-outs from the first movie. I've also just recently getting pieces of art from artist at some of the ComicCons I've been to.
MY MOST PRIZED POSSESSIONS
Now my most prized possessions would have to be, and yes it was hard to choose, would have to be:
My Bettlejuice figures. I have LOVED Beetlejuice for most of my life and one year my Mum bought these figures and I absolutely love them!
My Gentlemen statuette. Hush is one of all time favourite Buffy episode and I managed to find this awesome piece on eBay for cheap.
And finally; my autograph collection. I've been going to ComicCon's for about 3/4 years now and every time I go, I meet and get an autograph from movie and TV show stars that I like.
I currently have 30 signed pictures starting from my first ever, Laura Vandervoort (Smallville) and my most recent, Austin St. John (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, joining David Yost, Walter Jones and Steve Cardenas) with Carrie Fisher, Christopher Lloyd, Battlestar Galactica, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, True Blood in between.
