The Marvel Cinematic Universe is growing wider at such an immense, fast rate. It's crazy to think that just 8 years ago Iron Man had just came out and opened the door to entire new universe of characters. Now, Marvel has total a of 10 films and there's only gonna be more and more and more and MORE!
With their new venture into television it's just gonna grow even more larger. Which is why Marvel's new Netflix show Daredevil, is gonna be just as important as any Marvel film. It might just introduce us to a whole new wide variety of street level heroes (Moonknight, Shang-Chi, Punisher, etc.)
With the release of the show only 3 weeks away, I thought I'd make my own list how Marvel could connect the [Daredevil](movie:47230) show to the MCU.
10. Crossover with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
A guy like Daredevil, having insane adventures and fighting crime in New Yorks Hell's Kitchen, has to grab the attention of Phil Coulson and his agents.
This really makes the list because it would make such a great crossover episode, I'd love to see if SHIELD would think of him as an ally or a potential threat. Sure, in the comics Daredevil has been offered to be an official SHIELD agent by Nick Fury himself although he rejected it at the time. Him becoming an agent could be ultimately what happens to the character.
Even if he doesn't become an agent, Daredevil would, without a doubt, become a vital ally to SHIELD, like Thor.
9. Ben Urich
If you aren't familiar with Daredevil or Spider-Man comics, Ben Urich is an investigative journalist for the biggest newspaper in the Marvel Universe, the Daily Bugle. He is also a supporting character of Daredevil and is going to appear in the Netflix series played by Vondie Curtis-Hall.
Interestingly, Urich is a supporting character in some of the Spider-Man comic books. Since Sony and Marvels agreement for Spidey to be in the MCU, could Urich have a small part in the new Spider-Man films? It would certainly be cool and would be neat to connect the shows to the movies.
Urich is also one of few people that knows that Daredevil is Matt Murdock, worked with Peter Parker, and even found out the identities of Kingpin and the Green Goblin.
8. The Hand
A huge threat to the MCU is always a big nasty organization. You name it, H.Y.D.R.A., A.I.M. and Rising Tide (maybe even Oscorp now?). A new possible one could almost certainly be The Hand.
Daredevil without the Hand is Captain America without HYDRA. The Hand is actually the enemy of the Chaste, which are actually led by The Stick - Murdock's mentor, but also has associations with other D.D. characters such as Kingpin and. Lady Bullseye.
They've gone up against the likes of the Avengers and Doctor Strange, in the comics. So SHIELD might want to get ready for another dangerous enemy.
7. [Black Widow](movie:1070824) and Daredevil
In comics, Matthew Murdock and Natasha Romanoff weren't just crime fighting partners but also lovers. This would be an interesting relationship to see between the two characters and to further explore the MCU.
They could be complete strangers when they meet each other in the show or movie but they could be shown to have a history together already. Honestly, seeing them having a bit of chemistry would be nice to see in any future installment as a small nod to the original comics.
Having an A-list star like Scarlett Johansson on a Netflix series seems 100% unlikely but it would be honestly neat to see. Having just one episode of a Daredevil and Black Widow team up would be insanely awesome. So maybe we'll see these two in a future film, who knows.
6. Matthew Murdock: Lawyer for Superheroes
Murdock isn't just a crime-fighting superhero but also a top notch lawyer. When superheroes get in a legal jam they always call upon one of the best, Matthew Murdock. In comics, Murdock has been an attorney in many superhuman court cases, such as Hulk, White Tiger, Captain America, She-Hulk and many others. I'm just one of many that would love to see Murdock work his lawyer magic for other superheroes of the MCU. Maybe after Captain America: Civil War, Murdock could be the lawyer for Cap after the events of the film. It would certainly be a great way to link both the films to the show.
In the old The Incredible Hulk show from the 70's, Bruce Banner was put on trial and his lawyer was none other than Matt Murdock. Sure, the episode had that 70's cheese factor and Murdock looked nothing how he did in the comics but it had a cool concept. If done right, it would be a neat little scene to show.
5. Kingpin in a Spidey film or a member of HYDRA
Ol' Wilson Fisk is one of the worst and nastiest villains in the Marvel Universe and because of this he has his own share of superheroes who want him behind bars. One of these is everyone's favorite web-slinger, Spider-Man. This could lead the crime lord to be in one of the Spider-Man films for the MCU.
Kingpins is already the main enemy of Murdock in the Daredevil series, being played by the talented Vincent D'Onofrio and he'll surely be one of the biggest enemies of the entire universes underground crime. Mixing it up and putting Kingpin against other heroes or Daredevil having to team up with other heroes to put Kingpin in his place would certainly be entertaining.
Fisk also could be linked to the MCU's version of HYDRA. In comics, Fisk once ruled the Las Vegas branch of the group but also became enemies with them over his many dealings. Fisk could pop up anywhere in the next few years so keep you're eyes open for him.
4. Team-Up with Spider-Man
Out of all superhero team ups, one of the best has got to be Daredevil and Spider-Man. Their many team ups and adventures has actually made Spidey one of the man without fear's best friends, which is crazy if you think about it. In fact,Daredevil's first ever team up was with the webhead. in their first meeting Murdock was able to identify Peter was Spider-Man. Which in turn, Murdock revealed he was Daredevil.
This really makes the list because Peter and Murdock are pretty similar when you think about it, they have dark origins, they're both street-level heroes, swing around and both got their powers from radioactivity. Seeing them banter at each other has enough potential has it is
In comics, Daredevil and Spider-Man have teamed up against the likes of Kingpin and Doc Ock. Seeing these two badass superheroes would surely be a fantastic episode or movie.
3. Daredevil joins a Side in Civil War
Captain America: Civil War has already started shooting and Daredevil is set to appear in only a few weeks. Was this a coincidence? I think not. I believe Daredevil will have a big part to play in the film. Marvel film producer Kevin Feige has stated that the film will not deal with superhumans revealing their identities (since almost all of them don't have them) but will instead focus on governments demanding accountability and oversight of superheroes. Who knows what this means for the whole story but we know there will still be a pro and anti team in the film.
By the time of the film, Daredevil should already be a well known superhero by the time so he'll probably be on the government's radar for superhuman accountability - but that doesn't mean he has to like it. Since Murdock joined Captain America's anti-registration side in the comics it's more than likely he'll do the same for the film. And honestly why not? It's a great concept that I hope will be done in the film, not to mention it would be cool to see Daredevil in a film as soon as 2016.
2. Daredevil fights in the Infinity War
Last year something was revealed, that in 2018 and 2019 we will get a two-part film that shows us a on-going saga in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that will hold the future literally in the hand of one person. The heroes of the universe will have to fight against the mad Titan, Thanos who will wield the all mighty Infinity Gauntlet.
The fate of to just the world but the entire fabric of reality rests in the hands of all heroes. This means that the forces of good are gonna need any kind of help they can find to fight up against Thanos.
The worlds of The Avengers, [Guardians of the Galaxy](movie:424073), S.H.I.E.L.D, and possibly even Daredevil's Defenders are going to clash, this would be great to further connect the movies to the tv shows. I believe Daredevil will have a part to play like he did in the original Infinity War storyline, plus seeing Daredevil kick ass in the space already has me on the edge of my seat.
1. Daredevil joins the Avengers
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is going to change drastically in the next few years. According to some resources. This means that the Avengers we saw will also change very much.
Some characters will die, new ones will be introduced, this means that there will definitely be new Avengers. Hell, there might be a whole new sub-team of Avengers in the future, the Avengers we know aren't the only ones. There's the Secret Avengers, Mighty Avengers, Young Avengers and even the New Avengers, the man without fear could very well be on any of these teams in the future.
We could see Daredevil be the leader of the Defender's and see him evolve into a New Avenger, he's been one ever since New Avengers 2008 so it's pretty fair to say we'll see Daredevil be an Avenger sometime soon. Possibly in Phase 4 with Spider-Man, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, She-Hulk and Ant-Man, now that would be something.
