With such an array of games being released in 2015, a lot of gamers are having to be rather selective about what they purchase. That is, if they want to be able to pay their rent. Trust me, I know! The land of JRPGs is no different, and with Bloodborne only a matter of hours away from our PS4 consoles, I thought I'd look into the future (because you all have to buy Bloodborne, seriously).

We all have our preferences, and as always, I'm fascinated to uncover the desires of gamers! What kind of JRPGs do you play? Have you been a fan of them for a while? Have they recently lost their appeal? Do you agree with this mad man in thinking they're all terrible?! Or are they a breath of fresh air? Let's take a look at two of the biggest releases of the year, Xenoblade Chronicles X and Persona 5!

Xenoblade Chronicles X vs Persona 5

Naturally, these two JRPGs couldn't be further from one another in some respects. However, I'd love to know where player's loyalties lie when it comes to the glorious world of Japan. Some of you may be in fact looking forward to both of these games (I know I am). However, if you were presented with a choice, and console exclusivity wasn't an issue, which game would you be picking up in 2015?

Xenoblade Chronicles X will get its release date for the Wii U some time later this year, while Persona 5 will be hitting the PS4 and PS3! Restrictions on prices naturally hold a lot of us back from enjoying these glorious art pieces, such is the trouble with Video Games. Therefore, we are insanely selective about what we play nowadays. But I know what I'd pick!

Persona 5 & Its Characters

There's something about the world of Megamei Tensei that I find so alluring. It's just so completely separated from my interactions with the world. The visuals are stunning, the combat is challenging and they always round things off with a tremendous storyline and great characters. The Persona 5 trailer is one of the greats of this year, and I'm sure I'll be revisiting Persona 4 prior to its launch!

Japan's gaming output is endlessly fascinating, though of course, it's not for everyone. But once you get past their slow openings, and pedantic hand holding, they can open up a world that you'd never dreamed of. I know that Persona 5 will be one of my highlights of the year, never mind within the JRPG genre!

But that's in no way stating that I'm not looking forward to the return of one of the best JRPGs in recent memory, Xenoblade Chronicles. I'm actually in the middle of Xenoblade Chronicles 3DS , and it is a beautiful creation. The music instantly pulls you into a world of wonder, my only grievance with it is that I can't listen to it in Japanese - the way it's meant to be played.

Xenoblade Chronicles X looks like it'll be expanding upon every aspect of its predecessor on its release date and pushing the abilities of the Wii U to the brink of breaking. Or...could they actually release it on their new system just to make us all buy it? It'd be a cheap trick, but we're no strangers to tactics like this anymore!

But what about you gamers? Which game would you place your trust in -Persona 5 or Xenoblade Chronicles X? Which title will you be picking up on its release date? Let us know in the comments!
