It has been roughly 4 years since we saw Ethan Hunt took on impossible missions in the Mission Impossible franchise. The last adventure, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, had many moviegoers praising the fourth installment's presentation. I on the other hand was not impressed. Call me crazy but I have never been a fan of the Mission Impossible series. That being said, it seems the action series is maintaining its momentum as the fifth installment, Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation is coming to theaters. After going through a peculiar transition in release dates, Rogue Nation will be joining the summer season as the action blockbuster is set to arrive this July. With the summer season upon us, it only makes sense that Rogue Nation get in gear and starting marketing itself. Sure enough, after a one minute teaser yesterday, Paramount has released the full trailer to Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation.

The preview gives us an idea of the story as Ethan Hunt deals with a shadow group known as the Syndicate. What transpires is Ethan and his team on the run as they try to take down this organization. When it comes to stories, Rogue Nation seems to follow your casual action movie motif. Fortunately for the film series, its greatest attribute comes from its sense of action. If you were expecting a preview filled with action, then you will not be disappointed with Rogue Nation's trailer. The preview feature plenty of action packed moments such as fight scenes, car chases and intense stunts. The preview culminates with the movie's suspected show stealing stunt as Ethan finds himself hanging outside of an airplane that is taking off. While Mission Impossible is no stranger to big time actions scenes, the final moment to this trailer proves to be effective as it promises plenty of action-packed moments for this summer blockbuster.

Though I may not be a fan of the series, I will credit where credit is due. This preview hits all the right notes by giving Mission Impossible fans the action that they come to know from the series. Though I am still on the fence about this fifth installment, I can only hope that Rogue Nation delivers at being just an exciting and entertaining blockbuster.

Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation hits theaters on July 31st.
